Dos Reales Mexican Restaurant

Stopped here for an early Cinco de Mayo dinner. We ordered a mango and a strawberry margarita to start, along with freshly made Guacamole and chips. I ordered the burrito/taco combo and my girlfriend ordered the queso smothered burrito. extremely delicious to say the least. The atmosphere was very peaceful, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Very reasonable prices. Definitely a return trip!

My dad took me here for lunch one day and it was amazing. We luckily came at lunch time and they had the perfect options for their lunch menu. We both got fajitas. He got chicken and I got steak, which did not disappoint. The meal came with rice and beans- although we had to ask for sour cream separate. (And cheese wasn't included- but that's okay it tasted amazing without the cheese). Chips and dips were even offered free of charge. We will def be back!

I stop by here whenever I'm in Rockford and have the spare time. I found my favorite and always order the chicken chimichanga with rice and refried beans. It's generously slathered in melted cheese. They also serve tortilla chips with house made salsa. So good and worth every penny!The restaurant is low key with themed murals on the walls. The service is quick and my waitresses have always been very pleasant. I absolutely recommend this place.

Yikes. Wanted to try this place because hubby have ordered here once. And I'm looking for flautas. Not impress at all. Cry, I wanted to really like this place. I got also the enchiladas. The flautas tasting like enchiladas basically. Not even crispy at all. You cget charge $.25 per to go order. I asked for spicy salsa and I got a tiny cup of hot sauce for $1.29 lolI don't even know the reasons for my 2 stars. 1 star for location ‍

Service was okay, I have a nut allergy and called to see if their mole sauce had peanuts and they said they didn't know... so I took a chance and tried it anyway with no problems luckily! The food was sub par and nothing special. Needed more flavor and the guac crown was so small and not worth it.

I was charged twice for my lunch. My sister in law paid for my lunch and when I was leaving I was told I still had to pay. After explaining that it was already paid for, the hostess said I still hadn't paid so I paid thinking I had made the mistake. Come to find out no, they made the mistake. Huge language barrier. Not going back because of this!

The food and drinks were excellent. I normally do not drink unless I am out with family and friends. Usually I only drink one Margarita, I ordered one and had to have two because it was so flavorful, and tasted like a classic Margarita. The food, could not finish my cheese burrito because it was so big, with lot's of real cheese. The service was excellent, the waitresses smiled, and joked with us. Plus, they were responsible and seemed to be very dedicated to their profession. Also, I loved the murals, they were very well done, and we had a fun, and pleasurable time comparing them to others we have seen.Thank you employees of Dos Reales, it was a great send off for me as I am leaving soon to go home. Have a great life, and I hope your restaurant zooms into popularity, if it hasn't all ready :)

Louie our server was great always had chips and drinks on the table Very friendly place. The food was phenomenal. Price is reasonable. I would definitely go again.

On Friday we ate at this restaurant. Great authentic food, drinks (Margaritas were delicious), chips and salsa were really good, and the guacamole was excellent.The ambiance was very welcoming and charming. Our waiter was wonderful. We really had fun. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant!

Two of us ordered the shrimp and beef fajitas. My order had 4 shrimp and the beef was gristle and gross. Friday, March 15th $46 for crap
