Doobies Beer Joint

I cannot get over how oddly located Doobies is... it's in the center of a strip mall, nestled between 2 dollar stores. Parking in ample in the gigantic lot.Upon entering, I was surprised at how large the space actually was. There is a stage right up front, a long, large bar, a pool table and dart boards in the back. They have a small kitchen where the fantastic food is made... I had the fish fry (it was a Friday) and it was superb. A very large portion of meaty fish with light, flaky breading and fantastic fries! They actually had a larger menu that I anticipated and I would definitely go back for the fish fry. I'd prefer to avoid the bar scene. Maybe I'm just getting old, haha. The place started getting really busy later in the evening (past 9) despite the amazing food. There were only 2 bartenders working and they were extremely busy. They could have used 2 more bartenders. There was 1 cook, and he did a great job keeping up with orders.Drink prices were pretty standard. Food was priced very reasonably!! I'd love to try other items on the menu next time I am in the area.

I ordered the barbecue chicken sandwich again but this time I chose fried instead of grilled Plus unlike my last order they remembered the onion rings which easily puts doobies at a five-star rating in my book the sandwich was delicious topped with Gouda cheese large thick cuts of bacon and jumbo onion rings and the Fries were crisp and perfectly seasoned also they have the best jumbo pretzel in Racine with a beer cheese dipping sauce you have to try to believe it's that good so I highly recommend doobies beer joint if you're looking for great food at a great price.

Food is excellent!! The chicken sandwich's and the giant pretzel are among my favorites. Drinks are good- especially the bloody Mary's. Better bar food than most of your typical bars in the area!

They just started serving food and for bar food it's very good. Can't wait to come back and try the giant pretzel with beer cheese dip and wings.

Absolutely NOT the place for a burger. Premade frozen meat? Didn't even taste like beef.

Honestly, I've been here before and the bar was fine, they sold my favorite beer, the bartender was nice, and the service was quick. I probably will never step foot in the bar again due to their softball team. Something that is supposed to help the bar by advertising seems to be their biggest downfall. The men on the team were insufferable to listen to. The entire game they were shouting obscenities and complaining to the umpire. They ended up winning the game but that did not stop them from taking out drunken frustration on the ump and other team. If these are the type of people who go to this bar, then I will gladly spend my money somewhere else.

Absolute worst service ever! Bartender said he'd be right with us... no problem.... After we waited for sometime I watched the bartender read and reply to a text before approaching us. Still not upset.... Asked him for a second drink and waited 20 mins... questioned him he said, "He thought he brought it".... My fiancé received his food and after 20 mins I asked where mine was. "Oh there must have been a mistake in the kitchen".... The entire time the bar manager was sitting 3 stools down from us. My fiancé talked to the bartender and the manager about the issues and the bar manager called him a dick. Are you kidding me?!?

Great Bar Food and Cold Beer! Solid Local Bar with Kind Service. Fries are Delicious as were the Wings. Overall would recommend.

So... the only way to get service at this bar is to buy the bartender a shot...thanks for over charging my card
