Apple fritter. More donut than fritter but still really good.

I had very high hopes for this place, but the first day I went (a very random weekday) they had completely sold out of all donuts several hours before closing. The second time I went I got a cookie dough donut and it was a little underwhelming--not sure if I caught them on an off day or what happened, it just tasted a little bland.

Stopped here for a breakfast sandwich on a Sunday and wasn't disappointed. Bacon egg and cheese on one of the best English muffins I've ever eaten in my life. The spot was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. I only wish they had a little more seating inside. Otherwise, no complaints!

Maybe I'm missing something but I didn't find anything overwhelmingly amazing about the donuts from Donut Monster. I had two, a buttermilk with sprinkles and a vanilla chocolate buttercream, and was decidedly underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong they were fine, but for the price I expected some of the most amazing donuts I've ever had and I just didn't get that. The flavors were just kind of meh and the donuts felt too dense and bready. Not what I'm usually looking for in a donut.I'm always willing to give a place another try just in case they were having an off day, but truthfully I'm not expecting to change my mind with a follow-up visit. I can think of quite a few better donuts in the city for the same or lesser cost.

The donuts were good but nothing to necessarily write home about. They are a little pricey, which is fine if it's a spectacular donut but it was average at best. All of the donuts were pretty dry, but one thing I will note is that the flavor combinations were great. I personally liked the sweet potato donut the best and would definitely recommend that one! The Donut Monster location is super nice and quaint, but would I go out of my way to have it again? Probably not.

Oh my goodness. There's a reason why there are lines out the door to this place. Donuts are expensive. But well worth it. - I don't like coconut, but the coconut cream donut still killed it for me. - Can't say that their fritter was my favorite, though their most expensive item. It was more like a dessert pie than a donut. - chocolate ring - so scrumptious. even a bit crunchy. I gotta stop. They were all good. I'm getting hungry for more and it's 3am. I left the donuts on my counter in an air conditioned home overnight, but the cream went bad the next morning. Guess there are no preservatives in these donuts!! I'm fine with that!

I had their donuts when they just opened and my colleague brought a large box back to the office to share. I was pleasantly impressed by how good the donuts were that time. This year they became a part time vendor at Tosa's Famers Market and I was so excited to try them again. Overall, we really enjoyed what we got. I am an old-fashioned donut girl. Although their old-fashioned chocolate donut looked very soft & the shape looked not as good, it tasted very good and still got the dense texture! The other donuts and fritter were not too greasy which are what we like. The blueberry filling in the blueberry donut tasted pretty refreshing and not artificially over-sweet at all. I also tried their $6 Japanese Caramel Nitro Cold Brew. Pretty standard price for a nitro cold brew at 16oz and I honestly just wanted to know what "Japanese Caramel" was. It's good, sweet, very smooth and still had nice coffee flavor. Nothing really special or magical about "Japanese caramel" to me though haha. I hope their market menu can include more things that they sell at store haha.

I wanted to try someplace new for coffee and a breakfast sandwich, so I stopped in here around 11:30 on a Sunday. By that time, most of the donuts and other pastry were gone. When I asked the girl behind the counter what the best time to come in was, she said 8:00 and admitted that most everything was gone by 9:00. Sometimes 10:00. Then, when they're gone, they're gone. They don't make any more. This, I thought, is unfortunate. Still, the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was good. I loved how, instead of reheating some pre-packaged egg slice, the egg was made fresh in front of me. This made the sandwich a nice, hearty size. I also tried the Japanese Caramel Nitro Cold Latte, which is made with miso. That was really delicious, but I wished it had come in a bigger size. This is a cute place with limited seating, and if you want to sample all they have to offer, be there when they open at 8:00. Otherwise, you're pretty much out of luck.

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and glad I did today. I wanted the apple cinnamon fritter and I've never ever had something so delightful. I finished the whole thing in one sitting. The flavor was great but the fritter was light and airy. Sometimes fritters can be so dry and dense. This was the opposite! Wish I would have gotten a few more. Only downside is you have to get there at 8am if you want a doughnut and they are pricey. I got 6 for $20 so it's definitely a once in awhile treat not an everyday.

Donut pass them upI've been watching their pop-ups all summer but never got a chance to stop. On a recent Saturday I set my alarm to make the trek, because if you sleep in you miss out. I got a sampling of donuts for the fam, and a breakfast sandwich to enjoy post-run with the pup. While Donut Monster is no way convenient for me, I'll definitely go out of my way to stop again. Even though I arrived just after opening, there was already quite a line formed but it no moved quickly. I didn't feel rushed picking the donuts, and had to wait only a few min for the sandwich order. The donuts themselves were of goood quality, not the best I've ever had, but best in town. The breakfast sandwich was perfectly done. I stay away from carbs for the most part but the muffins are too good to pas up on.

Great little donut place. It's super small inside, and in a residential neighborhood so there's no where really to sit and eat. Technically there is but it's where everyone stands to wait, so it's not ideal. The donuts are good, and since they're the only place around I'd say I think they're pretty great every time we get donuts here. But having been to some really great donut shops, these are not the same level. The sandwiches are good too, standard but tasty. No complaints there. Overall I like the donuts and sandwiches but wish the place had more room, and more donuts (the ones I like usually sell out fast) and more fun flavors. But I'll keep going because the donuts are good and close by and that's what I care about on those mornings when I need donuts.
