We are avid "Supper Club" diners. We looked through our supper club book for some place new.... WOW our choice of Donny's Girl II Supper Club was a FANTASTIC choice!We arrived early Sunday to have a drink in the bar - we were greeted like family when we walked in (little did we know it was Fred, The Chef and Jen The Manager/Bartender!!We had great conversation with Jen at the bar regarding the restaurant and its history along with travel and the area. She thoughtfully brought us to our table for dinner and introduced us to our server, Kim.Again, had wonderful service and conversation with Kim. She was attentive, friendly and just all around a great server. After we raved about the fresh and wonderful salad bar, the amazing meal (I had the 16oz Prime Rib special and my husband had the Duck)The food was so flavorful, hot and there was A LOT of it. Your dinner includes soup, salad bar, bread and your meal with veggie and a potato choice! It was more food than we could eat but happily brought home leftovers! My husband loved the pea soup so much he brought more home!Kim let Chef Fred know how much we were enjoying our meal that he came out to say hello and we were able to tell him personally how much we enjoyed the food and service.The ambiance is quaint and an "old school" Wisconsin bar/Supper Club - just how we like it!We can will be back to enjoy another meal soon. Still five stars. Had an awesome chicken cordon bleu and yet another excellent prime rib. Homemade bread is always a winner!!!Salad bar was great as usual. Love the cheese spread and liver pate. Still keep prices reasonable. Friendly, great service. Excellent drinks. Say hi to Chef Fred, the amazing waitstaff, and bartender Matty!Winner!!! Again!!!

This is my second time here since new owners took over. Again, the food was good and the drinks were much better than last time, Different bartender. The old fashioned was very good. We enjoyed the salad bar, fresh bread and shrimp bisque that was included. My salmon taste good enough but seemed a little overcooked. Garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables were also good. My wife enjoyed her ribs and so did I; they were fall off the bone and very tasty. Definitely went away feeling satisfied. Will be back to try the ribeye or prime rib!

Not horrible but not great and I will likely not return to give it a second shot. I've been making my way through the list of WI supper clubs and this was pretty blah. The atmosphere was creepy basement vibes. Our waitress was not the best - she messed up the bill and sent our food to the wrong table, but she was friendly. The salad bar was ok, nothing special. My steak was well seasoned and cooked just how I asked. The rest of the food was super average and you could get at any bar. I was surprised the food took a while to come despite only a few tables being there.

No. Dining room was nowhere near full on a Friday night but food delivery was very slow (the food was hot, so it wasn't a server issue). Drinks were fine. Expected a beer batter fish fry but this was something different; kind of mealy. Baked cod had little flavor - seemed to be just paprika sprinkled on at the end for looks. Potato salad tasted like it was out of a container. Salad bar was fine, bread was nice.We'll find another place for fish fry.

Reservations were for 7pm but we didn't get a table till 730. Not a big deal we just had a few drinks. The food was outstanding. Salad bar was fresh. Tried a little of everything and the coleslaw was the best I've ever had. Our group had duck, steak, and a few different pasta dishes- all excellent. Cheese curds and bruschetta to start with dessert and drinks after. This place is legit.

Nice out of the way supper club. I made reservations and came with our group on a Friday night. When I got there I was told they didn't take reservations so they shouldn't have allowed me to do that and that it would be a wait and they would seat us as soon as they could. We waited about 10-15 minutes and were seated. I ordered a brandy old fashioned which I assumed would be good here. Unfortunately it was very watered down and there was no muddling going on. Too bad. We really liked the cole slaw and potato salad they brought family style, very tasty. I had the fish fry and chicken platter. The fish was really good, one of the better fish fries I've had. The fish had a super thin breading so it wasn't very heavy or greasy. The chicken was good too. The fries it came with however looked and tasted like something off a Sysco truck. Would go again but be prepared to wait. There is a bar in front so that helps.

The bartender was as nice as can be. That's really the only good thing I can say. Our waitress DENISE was about as friendly as a viper. The restaurant itself is showing its age. The radio on the shelf in the MDR was covered in dust. A clock on the same shelf was barely plugged into an ext cord left dangling in midair. Breadsticks on the salad bar were beyond stale bordering on soggy. Keep in mind they are the prepackaged type. French onion soup had no flavor. Hard to believe considering this is one of the easiest soups to make. The haystack of onions was a near disaster. It was more like a haystack of clumped onions. This happens when you fry them in big batches, clumps of almost cooked onions. Memo to the cook (no way this guy was a chef) these are meant to be cooked in SMALL BATCHES! The fried cod was just barely cooked and the fries had been sitting for a while. They came out hot but were rubbery which indicates they were sitting under a heat lamp for a good bit. It's a shame what the new owners have allowed a once proud local supper club to devolve into.

My son bought me prime rib here. It was so bad I never wanted prime rib again. That was a couple of years ago. I hope it has become better.
