Verdict on Döner Kebab restaurant in Hartford - it's legit. The bread's soft but chewy, with a slightly crispy exterior, just like it should be--made right in-house. They also have the three traditional sauces, which are made from scratch: garlic yogurt, spicy red, and herb. Add in the rotisserie-cooked meat, thinly shaved and packed with flavor, paired with fresh veggies (onion, red cabbage, and tomatoes)--and it's a true taste of Turkish-influenced Germany!Too cold to get out of your car? First time there. Drove 30 minutes..and let me tell you, we will be back!!! Owner and wife (I assume) are incredibly kind, food is fast, seasoning etc is DELICIOUS.. probably the most flavorful food I've had in a long time. A little pricey, but worth it and hey, let's support a good business! Owner was up front about credit card fees, zeroed the tip button before spinning to me, etc etc.. go there today

Literally incredible. The staff was outstanding and the food was drool worthy. The staff, I assume the owner, explained all of the options to us. I got the classic doner as the pita is made in house. I chose the option to have all three sauces on the sandwich and I will definitely do the same in the future. The sandwich was not spicy with the trio. Which is maybe the only thing I'd change about my order next time I visit. This sandwich tasted so fresh and I cannot wait for my next doner!

I've been following Doner Kebab on social media since before they opened, but I don't make it out to Hartford often and hadn't tried them yet. When I finally found myself out that way I made sure to stop by. I ordered the Doner Wrap without tomato and onion and only the garlic and herb sauces of the three options they have (spicy being the third).I liked the wrap overall. It was well portioned and both the garlic and herb sauces specifically stood out. The cabbage and lettuce seemed a little redundant and had me wishing that I liked tomato just to mix up the textures. I do appreciate that they grill the wrap in a panini press.The menu is literally just the Classic Doner in a flatbread and the Doner Wrap that I had and both have pretty much the same ingredients (the classic doesn't have cheese), so it's a good thing they're good at what they do. The wrap by itself is $14.75 (as of 5/10/2023) which makes this a once in a great while thing and not something I'd go to Hartford for by itself.

The classic Doner was phenomenal! Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Very excited for something new and unique in the area!

I've came here twice now and I have to admit, this is the closest I've had to the real thing in the US. The Döner's here are seasoned well, although I recommend getting light lettuce because otherwise they pile it on and it overpowers all other flavors. I ordered mine with the Knoblauch and Kräuter Sauce(garlic sauce and herb sauce). These sauces are delicious. They also have a Scharf sauce(spicy sauce) but there really isn't much spice to it at all. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. The place is also very clean which is a great thing to see. They have a drive through window, although everything is carved and made to order so it does take about 5 minutes for your order to be completed, but it's worth it! I'll have to come here at least twice a month. This is definitely a MUST VISIT!

I just moved to the Hartford area so I'm trying out the local food places. I've been here twice and I keep thinking about their classic doner. The meat is well cooked and the trifecta of sauces are a lovely touch. They have a few tables inside to eat at. They also have a drive thru which can be helpful. I will definitely be going back.

First time visit tonight with a friend.Having never tried a Doner before we weren't sure what to expect. We found them to be quite filling and very tasty.We both tried the herb sauce this time, and will have to try the other kinds of sauce on our next visit. A nice alternative to the Gyro.

Finally a doner that taste like the real thing. After being stationed in Germany for years I have longed for a good doner. This taste exactly what I remember from Germany they make everything in house with authentic German recipes. The owners are extremely nice and very hospitable. Shop is clean just like you would expect. Thank you for coming to Hartford you have brought back so many fond memories of my times in Germany.I will definitely be visiting a few times a month
