Don Ramon

This is the best place to go for delicious Mexican food! The service is the most unbelievable phenomenon I have ever seen in my life. These servers are running through the restaurant with hot plates (safely of course), while making everyone satisfied with everything. Perfectly presented and cooked, beautifully decorated place, and the customers were a blast. Friendliest place I have ever been to in my life.ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!100% RATING FOR EXCELLENCE

Don Ramon is a decent Mexican restaurant. They make the guacamole fresh tableside. The service was prompt and the food came out in around 10 minutes.

Fantastic food every time we have gone. Great staff, large portions, great vibe! Even the pickiest of foodies wouldn't be disappointed.

Food is decent. In some ways it's very authentic and then in others it's very white-washed. Having lived in California, I tend to prefer a more authentic experience (tall order for a joint in rural Wisconsin, I get it). Anyways, I ordered a taco plate the first time I tried Don Ramon. Twenty bucks because I wanted tacos Al pastor. Like, you're really gonna up charge me $6 for pastor? At least get some authentic tortillas. Second visit, bunch of tacos for taco Tuesday. Meh. Third time, I ordered a combo. Not bad, but not stellar. The reason I have this place so many chances is because someone said it was the best Mexican food in Wisconsin. I think not. The food is decent, but for an average of $16 per order, I'll try elsewhere.

I am working in Mayville this week and all the locals mentioned Don Ramon as their favorite restaurant. I went there for lunch today and wasn't disappointed. The chips were served promptly, very warm, and the salsa was smooth and spicy, with an excellent flavor.The lunch menu offered many selections, I chose a burrito combo which was delicious. It was covered with creamy white cheese, the beans and rice were flavorful. I also sampled a cheese enchilada and it was very good as well. Portions were huge, especially for lunch specials. Service was very efficient and super friendly. The dining room was clean and featured a nice atmosphere. I plan to return for dinner this week so I can try some of the unique menu items and a couple of margaritas.

We had a great experience here! Fun Mex-bar vibe, music and conversation, attentive and very hospitable host and server! Food was hot, fresh and delicious: Huevos rancheros, chicken quesadilla and veggie quesadilla at our table, and my companions said their horchata drinks were the best they'd ever had! We will be back, I'm sure!

The food is always great at Don Ramon Mexican restaurant in Mayville. But I used the restroom and is was absolutely disgusting. No excuse for that.
