Dogs On the Chain

Took me awhile to finally stop in here and try their offerings and I am really happy I did. First off great service. Friendly and funny exchanges while preparing your order. Place is clean and well kept with a simple menu. I ordered a Chicago dog with fries. Been in this area now for 30 years originally from Chicago but this was the absolute best hot dog and fries I've had anywhere bar none. And I've been to all the well known hot dogs joints thru Chicago, this place beats em all with maybe the exception of the now closed Hot Dougs for those in the know. I can't wait to go back to sample all of the sandwiches on the menu. I will now be a regular. Thank you Dogs on the chain for an amazingly delicious dog not to forget the super hot crunchy and fresh cut fries. They actually belong on the hot dog rather separately.

If you are looking for a great hot dog place with great atmosphere, great food and people with a lot of heart look no further. The best little hot dog place around. They are so friendly and nice and go above and beyond if you have a food allergy. The hot dogs taste so gourmet and the polish cooked to perfection and don't get me started on the fresh cut fries. Don't walk run to Hot dog on the chain you won't be disappointed

I just left Illinois to move back to California and wanted one more good Chicago dog on the way out of town. I found it at Dogs on the Chain. This is a small, hole in the wall family owned business that truly knows how to make a hot dog! The cook and cashier...I assume owners...were really friendly. Good food at a really good price.

Heads use this app for directions, it will lead you a house. You're going to have to Google map it. The food, we stopped by for the pizza puff..can't get it in California and we were in the neighborhood. So I made it a point to find a place that served them. Not better or worse than other pizza puffs.Why give it 5 stars. Two reasons 1. Always support local restaurants when you can, especially when the food doesn't stink.2. The guy working was cool to talk to. He ended up sharing some of his personal deer sausage links with me to take home. Tried it and it was super good. I don't know if I will be back to the area but if I do, I will stop by again.

Hot dog not Vienna beef but I must say was just as good if not better! They have the Eisenberg brand that is local Chicago. The only thing I would like to be different is maybe have fountain drinks not just bottle/cans. The parking is little cramped. Overall really good hotdog and fries!

Great customer service. Great pricing. Wonderful food!We had beef and a gyro and a hot dog. All very good.We also love to sit and watch the fish in there.

One of the best newer restaurants fox lake has to offer, everything is good. I remember when they first opened and then them hyping up the gyro meat that they finally got, did not/does not disappoint I love it here

Always great food and staff extremely friendly. I visit at least 2 times a month . The machines pay out too!!

It's just the greatest dog experience one can get. Great service, family friendly, excellent food!

My new favorite hot dog! I plan on going back to try the gyros next after reading all the great reviews.
