Food and service is excellent. The cocktails are tasting and generous. A great place to go with groups.

a fine meal! i was in town for business at the convention center and ended up enjoying doc's twice in the weekend. i never thought of milwaukee as a bbq town (i recently learned that case meat is a farce and a myth) but now i seen the light!

Fantastic bbq, really good beer selection, and overall nice vibe. Usually when I see a place attached to a hotel in a busy part of town I get hesitant because I've been burned a few times with places like that but this one was great. The burnt ends I think is the Sunday special and they were great. The chicken wings are super tasty too, and I loved the fries.Huge huge range of options for beers if you are into that, and if you want soda they have Coke products not Pepsi.

Milwaukee has some surprisingly good BBQ, DOC's being amongst the top! The meat was tender and delicious and the staff was friendly. A nice place for groups, as the set up inside is similar to a food hall, but with a warm ambiance. They have tons of different local brews to try, so we grabbed two beer flights. I'm a fan of trying different BBQ sauces as well and they had about five different ones right on the table to try out. Great experience, can't wait to try more of the meat options!

We had an event to attend downtown so we decided to give a new place a try. This brought us to Doc's. We had a very attentive waitress. The ambiance was just so so. Nothing special, your typical feel of a hall. The food was delicious. The ribs were really good. Would definitely order them again. I had the BrusselsSprouts as a side. They were good but comparing them to others I have had they fell short. My husband had the special, a brisket grilled cheese that he said was yummy. We also included drinks... the peach tea. We could have sat and drank more. Recommend. Good BBQ, you should give it a try. The preparation of the meats was spot on!!

WINGS! Get the wings! Great place for wings and sometimes they're even half off. Have had multiple items here and never really disappoints. If you come with a group try the platter where you get to try a little of everything. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Food tends to come out pretty fast.

We came to Doc's for the first time today; as a vegetarian, obviously I'm not the place's prime customer. Our server was great, super helpful, & service was fast. I ordered:--Large side of Mac & cheese: it was ultra watery. I added some barbecue sauce to give it SOME flavor, since it just tasted like plain noodles. I'd give it a 1-2 out of 5. --Potato salad: this was salty & tangy, really good but not the best I've ever had, probably a 3-4. --Coleslaw: this was really tasty, it was properly watery & not too thick, it was tangy & sweet at the same time. Probably a 4 & my favorite part of the meal!The folks I was with LOVED the dry rub wings & rated the barbecue as a whole a 4/5. It definitely depends on what you order.

Awesome BBQ place in downtown MKE. Their drink list is awesome from cocktails through local MKE craftsman beers even a 2 Michelin star rated beer . BBQ s are excellent too. From ribs, smoked meats including turkey aandLocal Usinger sausage. The Usinger sausage is great , not too salty to my liking. Meats are Smokey and tender falling off from the bone. They occasionally ran out of meat towards the end of the day. Once they ran out they don't make it until next day. Service is awesome too. If you're in downtown MKE, a must try.

The most ok bbq in the city. Their food tastes like it was never smoked and comes out with a gamey bland flavor. I've eaten here about 5 times now because friends really wanted to go. They've all agreed that it's simply ok. It's basically just edible and that's it. The service tends to suck to be honest, 3 times now they have messed my order up beyond belief, bringing me the wrong meat or sides. The one thing they have going for them is how the restaurant actually looks. It's a nice looking place, but the rest is bad.

I generally love going to a Doc's, but this one was disappointing. Lean Brisket was served cool and dry. Didn't even finish it, I even tried slathering it with their different sauces, which were good, but still didn't work. The Mac and cheese was the best thing I had. Which is disappointing when you go to a smokehouse. Good selection of booze, good service, good music, below average food.
