Divino Gelato Café

This little shop nestled in downtown Waukesha is so cute and the gelato is good too! We have been here a number of times and always enjoy going back. The shop is on the smaller side and at times is very full and loud. This is the best time to make your way outside and take a seat in the cute tables on the sidewalk. There are generally 2 people working behind the counter and this can be cause for a longer wait, but in the end you will not be disappointed. Go check this place out and enjoy Gelato, a Gelato shake, Bubble tea, or some food!

Stopped here on my birthday this past week with my coworkers. We typically go out for lunch, but ended up just wanting to stop for gelato and I'm glad we did. I haven't stopped by this spot in years, but it definitely hasn't changed much in the past 10-15 years. A little bit of a variety with macaroons and bubble tea (that you can add gelato to). I got the two flavors in the waffle cone - Straciatella (probably spelled that wrong) and the Thai flavor. They were delicious! I wasn't too certain I'd like the Thai flavor but it ended up being my favorite one. I sampled a few and the cashiers were happy to help me with suggestions/taste tests. Not a ton of seating inside, so on nicer weather days I recommend just eating outside or walking along the Fox River with your cone!

Divino Gelato is such a gem! I was extremely impressed with both my gelato and the service.I ordered a regular/medium sized dish with both the cake batter and stracciatella flavors. The cake batter tasted just like a vanilla cupcake. The stracciatella was sweet and creamy and the chocolate shavings added the perfect amount of texture.Both employees were friendly and helpful. The store itself is very quaint and has plenty of seating both inside and outside. I would highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. The last time I was here, I tried a macaron and it was amazing. My dish of gelato ran me $5.51 and the macaron was $2.09.

After finishing off lunch I thought maybe a cold treat is in order because I don't usually do that but my buddy seems to do it all the time so maybe it's rubbing off on me so I jumped on yelp and this place was just blocks away.I don't really care if it's Gelato, Ice cream, custard, frozen yogurt etc etc because if it's cold and yummy it all works form me so I'm not partial to any one style of cold treats.The place is nice and clean looking in the middle of downtown Waukeshas crazy spider web street area and parking was right in front. They don't have a ton of flavors like some places but they have enough to find something to your liking and sea salt Carmel was my choice.The sea salt Carmel Gelato was expensive at $6 for a small cup and more than half the price of my huge lunch plate that I just had that was two meals in it self. The sea salt Carmel was very smooth and creamy with what I believe was walnuts in it, I couldn't really see them but that's what I think they tasted like and it was a nice cold treat and a nice way to finish off my lunch experience.

Best gelato in SE Wisconsin! I've had many gelato in my days including Italy many times. This is by far, the most authentic and delicious gelato in southeastern Wisconsin. One of the go to and most authentic Sicilian is the pistachio with imported pistachio nuts that are out of this world. Genduia (chocolate hazelnut) also is a common staple in Sicily and I can't help but get both when I visit this place. I've also been to their store in Naples Florida which was a treat in itself. Thirdly the limone (lemon ice) is second to none! Unfortunately the mall is so quiet they closed at 5 o'clock that evening and I worry about this place staying open. Please check it out it is so good and so worth it. They even offer punchcards!

Great service! Nice variety of flavors in Gelato. Very clean and spaces to enjoy a seat outside. They have something for everyone!

So, Divino was good. It wasn't Italian quality or even West Coast California quality but it was mostly fresh and tasty. Our son likes it and cannot remember the Italian trip so for him it is way better than run of the mill ice cream. The shop has a groovy cafe vibe. Nice people.

Waffle cones are your best bet for the money. Easy to eat on the go and they hold a lot of gelato :)I stopped in during one of the Friday night Live events because I wanted ice cream. This was better. I had some berry blend that was so refreshing and delicious. I had entertained the idea of some French macarons as well but they were really expensive. Nearly $2 each. The line moved along pretty quickly considering there were so many flavors to choose from. They will let you sample flavors, but I like to take a risk. Go big or go home, hopefully with a yummy scoop or two of gelato! I can't wait to go back and try one of their different offerings.

Loved Divino Gelato 1.0 way back about 10 years ago. Divino Gelato 2.0 is a love hate relationship unfortunately now. As mention in my first review second owners. Recipe changed, atmosphere not as warm and inviting and prices up/portions down type management. Plus the owners are focused on 3 other shops and it shows. This original store was a place we could go all year round and our kids love it. Unfortunately this store was closed most of winter. The Brookfield Square store is open though. I guess the patrons and original store served its purpose. Waukesha patrons are captive audience in a way and no where else to go for gelato unless you go to the mall. It's too bad because downtown Waukesha needs good businesses and this was wonderful as all the newspaper articles suggest that are posted throughout the store.... Back during Divino Gelato 1.0.

Decided to get ice cream from this place this afternoon. There was a lot of kids getting ice cream and then when it was my turn they were out of what I wanted which was fine but when I was taking a moment to choose something else The lady behind the counter kept asking me if I was ready but I was still deciding they didn't seem patient with me so I just left without anything and went somewhere else.
