One of my new favorite restaurants! Located on 11th & Mitchell in the former Lopez Bakery space, Del Valle Oaxaqueño serves up amazing Oaxacan dishes, as well as a few Nicaraguan dishes, since they have a Nicaraguan on staff, too!My favorite appetizer is the Molotes, which are corn masa fritters stuffed with chorizo and potato and topped with salsa verde, refried black beans, and queso fresco! I love them!I've dined here several times and also love the Tlayuda with your choice of meat (I usually get carne asada), Enmoladas which are like Oaxacan quesadillas, Oaxacan Mole Negro which is the best tasting mole dish I've had and served with bone-in chicken in an amazing dark mole sauce served with rice and housemade tortillas, Memelas which are like Tostadas but the tortilla is soft instead of a hard flat tortilla shell.I've also had a Nicaraguan Tamal which was very large and filling, so it was great for lunch on its own, and recently tried a Nicaraguan Enchilada which is like a large crispy empanada and a Tamal Veracruzano filled with short rib! Everything is delicious! They also sell Oaxacan bakery items that they bake fresh every morning, and recently started serving margaritas, beer, and other alcoholic beverages, and of course, non-alcoholic beverages are available. You MUST eat here!

We came here looking for the old restaurant and didn't know what to think. We were delighted to have an excellent breakfast and baked goods. The staff were super friendly. I had the huevos rancheros, which I loved, and the others had the chilaquiles, which I'm told were great. In back they happened to be making 500 pan de cazeula for a wedding and unprompted they brought one out for our table, and told us a bit about the dish. It was a lovely gesture on top of a great breakfast.
