Feels like home. The food is all home style and made with love. The staff is super friendly and you can tell from the moment you walk through the door that they are proud of their business. Has an old country diner feel and a calm atmosphere. We were brought fresh homemade apple butter and strawberry rhubarb jam to the table and it was delectable. We will be back!

I was in Darien for a job project and stopped at this cafe for lunch. It was EXCELLENT. I got the breaded chicken sandwich and it was one of the best I've had. The chicken was hot and fresh, the tomato was sweet and juicy and it was served on a delicious bun. They also make their pickles homemade! Way better than store bought. For a side I got a salad. Deb said that she grew the cucumbers and yellow tomatoes fresh from her garden and it showed. Everything was delicious, my coworkers enjoyed their meal and the service was kind and fast. Most definitely will head back when passing through.

Ordered take out here about a month ago. Walked in & no one had a mask on (except myself), including the cook who also didn't have on gloves or a hair net at any time I saw him enter or leave the kitchen while I sat at the bar. Food was ready in 5/10 minutes which was nice but my skillet was 90% potatoes & I found a piece of hair in it as soon as I got home. Offered water while I waited & silverware to go. Definitely a family ran business & friendly people, but was not impressed with sanitation or the food. *Note: This is before the mask mandate* Will give them another shot when things go back to normal.

First time here and I felt like I was a regular. Great special from the looks of it. I went with a staple, BLT, with a twist...BELT (egg). Service was fast and excellent. I will stop by next time I'm in town for work.

Worst place to eat especially for seafood. They cook the lobster in the microwave and refuse to follow the right procedures for food safety. I'm suprised the place is still open especially since they only open for a few hours a day.

We discovered this restaurant when we moved to the area. Friendly staff and great food that's really home made. We eat there pretty regularly.

Great breakfast spot. From the jelly and apple butter to the fresh pies, all the food is homemade just like grandma used to make. Deb is a sweetheart always willing to stop and spark up a conversation.

Five of us went for a Friday Fish Fry. Wasn't sure what to expect but turned out to be a nice experience. Very friendly staff, food was great. I had the perch, the others had cod and a combo platter. Everyone in the party was very pleased with their food. The home fries with cajun seasoning was good, could use a bit more heat but that's just me. I recommend Deb's and would return.

We wanted to go here for breakfast tomorrow after seeing it today, but we saw a really disturbing sign in the window. The sign actually says; "No face coverings allowed for security purposes" and "No Masks." Too bad, it looked like a good place. This sign is bizarre and tells me exactly what kind of BS they believe about Covid, as well as how little they care about their safety and the safety of their customers.
