Darien Ice Cream Shoppe

This place is so cute!!! We were on our way back to Madison after the 4th from Lake Geneva and after a hankering for ice cream emerged, we found this little gem. The woman working was very kind and the ice cream was delish! I had a Mackinac Island fudge shake, which was very good. It was a little more liquidy then I normally like, but next time I'll just ask for less milk and problem solved. What makes this small town gem shine is how affordable it is. You aren't paying the crazy prices of Lake Geneva, but still get great quality.

Alice and the team are always friendly. Great selection of flavors to choose from. Ice cream is always worth the stop but especially here! The park across the street is a great place to sit and enjoy ice cream and let the kids play.

We stopped in during our road trip from CO to MI to IL to WI to get a sweet treat. My kids and I were warmly welcomed! I am gluten free and I asked if a certain flavor was gluten free and the lovely lady behind the counter took the time to look in their ingredients folder to check for me. I hate having to ask, but it was no big deal and they were very prepared to help those with allergies! I proceeded to ask for my ice cream in a cup and she offered me a gluten free cone! What?!? Yes please!!!!!! It was delicious! My kids and husband loved their ice cream. I really appreciate this small shop being aware of others needs, being soooo kind and welcoming and having great ice cream. Highly recommend!!!

Great ice cream place. The staff is sooo nice. The ice cream is delicious. I'm sad when it closes for the winter and happy it opens for the summer.

We have a house on Whitewater Lake and go to this ice cream shop almost every time we head home. The woman that we have dealt with, who I assume is the owner, is always friendly and is happy to see us every time we go. The other review that I read on this page from Kelly M is ridiculous. Sounds like she is supporting a friend's competing ice cream shop rather than giving a true review. This ice cream shop has great ice cream, great service, and it's a wonderful local place to support.

Fun little, small-town, ice cream shop.Great selection, and excellent value (huge portions for the money).Some nice tables for outside seating, and being a small town, not a lot of traffic to taint the experience.It's slightly off the main drag, so check the address before you pass this place by.
