Thanks to Jay for filleting the pork loin. It was delicious! This was a loin that was rolled with pesto, prosciutto, and parmigiana. Cooked on our smoker.

Hands down Danny's Meats has the best bacon. The bacon is something I am willing to pay the much higher price than I would for the stuff in the sealed bags at the grocery store. I have had many of the other selections from Danny's--the sandwiches are excellent and cheaper than a Subway, and I've placed special orders for certain things that come through without issue. The service and selection is amazing. Now, this is a butcher shop mostly. It's low frills, but stocked well enough that you can pick up things you may need to make a complete meal, but there's also a Piggly Wiggly nearby that makes the cost of the ancillary items a bit steep. It would be wise to buy your ancillary needs at Piggly Wiggly nearby. Then use that savings to buy more hickory smoked or applewood bacon. :)

This has always been a wonderful butcher shop but I wasn't aware that it also made an amazing Friday Fish Fry. I'm sadly allergic to fish but my mom is visiting from Puerto Rico and is OBSESSED with their Fish Fry. She loves the light crispness, flavor, portion size and potato pancakes. She also loved the service, how nice the employees were and the variety of products in the store. Which is awesome because I love it too!

This is strictly a review for the Paradise Cafe adjacent to the butcher shop. I LOVE their burgers and fries. Their sandwiches are also top notch, but I'm not too much of a fan of those. It takes a while for them to get your order made during lunch time, so make sure to order ahead. I'll post the menu as pictures, since I noticed that it's kind of hard to find. You have to go to their website, then link to their cafe website, then find the menu there. Now, it's under pictures.

Best beef jerky period! I love the caramelized chewiness of their jerky. I drive all the way from Schaumburg Illinois to this place to get their jerky! Service is also great as well. They let me try the turkey jerky in comparison to the beef jerky.

Absolutely an amazing butcher shop and small deli. The butcher is friendly and willing to answer any questions about his products. He is very familiar with where his meat originates and provides suggestions on preparation is asked. The deli salads are amazing and the sloppy joe meat (made in house) made my husband a convert. Definitely worth the trip.

The guy that made the BEST German potato salad in the world retired. The German potato salad now sucks.

My coffee is thicker than Danny's turkey gravy! Danny's sell's overpriced food that sometimes is good!
