Relatively newer building that is clean and nicely decorated. Really exudes that "up north" kind of feel. Located right on the Wolf River with an outdoor stage that has the river as the backdrop. With the above descriptors I really wanted to enjoy dinner here. We visited on a Friday evening at 6 p.m. and there was hardly anyone there. Such a beautiful location and atmosphere it should have been a clue that the place was mostly empty. Our group of three had the whitefish, perch and a cheeseburger. The perch had a strong fishy taste to it. The whitefish was falling apart and rather liquidy. The cheeseburger was overcooked. The coleslaw that came with the fish dinners also had a fishy flavor about it. 5 stars for location and outdoor amenities (stage, volleyball courts, river) and even five stars for the building and decor. The staff were pleasant and interactive with us. The meals were just so disappointing with the rest of the experience. I'd certainly return, but only for the drinks and a band. (They do offer breakfast. Pretty hard to screw up eggs, I'd give that a try because of how much I really want to like this place).

Service was absolutely atrocious. And don't order the Reuben, it's awful. Meat is tough and super fatty. Burger was charred, appetizer basket came out after we finished our meals.2 stars because they had Tom and Jerry's (though they served it barely warm) and the fact that my good friends say the owner is nice.

We have been here multiple times and enjoy ourselves every time. The bartenders are extremely friendly and no matter how busy it gets, they keep up with orders. The food is always good. They have a large menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their appetizers are all outstanding. The prices are reasonable and they will even buy a drink once in a while, which has really become a rare thing. Finally, it is very nice and clean inside. There is a large deck that overlooks the scenic river. We have spent many hours sitting on the deck, enjoying the sun and the scenery.

Large clean bar and restaurant with a view of the Wolf River flowing through. There is a large patio perfect for summer days in Wisconsin. Note: mosquitos can be an annoyance, so pack your spray. The food is your usual bar fare, but it's solid. Fish on fridays includes soup and salad bar and is very good.

A beautiful and handicapped accessible building and a very friendly staff. The walls are covered in history all sorts. The food is simple and tasty. My foster sister had a delicious crock of homemade chicken noodle soup, my mother tried the Yankee burger and loved it. The highlight of my meal was the Reuben. It was on a really good marble rye and made with a homemade mustard sauce, the corned beef was thick cut and you could really sink your teeth into it, the proportion of sauerkraut was just right. They have a well stocked bar with knowledgeable bartenders. They also have spacious and accessible bathrooms. They also sell fish bait for those stopping by while fishing. A good all around watering hole.

Giving this review more for people stopping in. Regulars like the place. I live just down the street so I go here at least once a week. My first time in was on a Friday night and I had wanted something to eat, but I got there a little late and the kitchen had closed. The staff was friendly. I ordered a couple beers and then headed out. The following visit I was surprised when the bartender had remembered which beer I ordered the previous visit, great sign. I was able to order some food. The burger was typical of a bar burger. From that visit forward, the bartenders have always been nice, I've met 4 different ones since I've visited at all different times and every visit after the initial meeting, they'd remember what my drink was as they greeted me. The breakfast specials are an unbeatable value. Coffee is great and a dollar. I've tried a few things off their lunch and dinner menu, it's all on the good side of pretty average. The sides all seem to be normal fried foods. The tantalizing taters are awesome, although they seem to be just frozen and deep fried, but I like them anyway. The establishment is very clean, the grounds outside are great. I've only visited in the winter months so far. Can't wait for summer. Being on the river and surrounded by trees, it'll be great. As someone who goes there often, I'd say it's one of my top spots now because of the location and service. If I were eating it on a personal level, I'd give it a top rating, because I'd miss it if it closed up. For someone who has options, I'd say give it a try.

Great location and nice ambiance, too bad the food and service are fair to average. There's ample seating inside and even more seating outside overlooking the Wolf River. Nobody greeted us when we entered so we seated ourselves. We waited a bit before someone finally came to take our drink order. The menu isn't huge and has your typical bar fare and it does have a children's menu. We ordered and the appetizer came out quickly, but the food took forever. Drinks ran down to empty and the server was never overly friendly. The food finally came out and definitely wasn't worth the wait. I had a crispy chicken wrap, that was basically 2 chicken strips and some lettuce stuck in a wrap. Totally blah. Another person has a Ruben that was fatty and tasteless, and someone else had an overcooked, dry burger. The fries were good though. Basically an unfriendly bar where food is an afterthought.

After kayaking the Wolf River for five hours, we were looking forward to a nice cold beer, and maybe dinner. The bar looks great, like a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it was the most unfriendly bar I've ever walked into. The (I assume) "regular" customers looked at us as if to say, "Why are you here?" And the bartender had a tough time tearing herself away from the dice game she was playing in order to get our drinks. No smiles, greeting, or even asking us what we wanted. We quickly drank our beers outside and headed out to get dinner elsewhere. If you're on vacation, skip this place and go somewhere where they want your business!

2 stars because they have a nice outdoor seating area but the rest is not good. Food takes forever to come out and it is over cooked. Wouldn't recommend.
