Daddys Soul Food Grille

After moving to Milwaukee from the South we were craving some food that reminded us of home cooking. My husband got the fried chicken dinner plate and I got the baked, it was delicious and juicy. The sides were so amazing too, the greens were my favorite and the green beans were my husbands. The banana pudding for dessert was delicious too. Make sure you get there before closing since it's seemed like they ran out of certain items close to the that time. We WILL be back.

Just wanted to say, "I bin back", so today it called for two portions of chicken, one with cabbage and mac and cheese (a favorite) and another with yams and beans. Always love Daddy's for the price and the down-home flavors. One complaint is that the thighs are cut so that part of the backbone is included. It makes the thigh look bigger, but there's no meat in the backbone. Last week I bought 8 thighs at Pick and Save for $9.99. Good price-- and only one bone in it. Have also had the ribs at Daddy's. The flavor is great, but if you're from Texas and prefer smoked meat, Daddy's doesn't have that ability, so the ribs are baked in the oven. Wonder what a low-cal day at Daddy's might look like? You could walk away feeling you'd done yourself good that time!!

Once I arrived. I stood in line and watched what the locals were getting into kept hearing people ask for dressing. I asked a gentleman what "dressing" was he told me and I order it. It was bomb! The food was amazing! This was my first time trying soul food and i absolutely loved it. I wish they had this style food down in AZ. I can't wait to go back and I highly recommend...

Daddy's Soul Food & Grille in Milwaukee has incredible soul food with fast friendly service in a beautiful comfy family setting! There's seems to be more than one Daddy's soul food or establishments with similar names in Milwaukee. The location we visited was on 754 N 27th St. My husband & I stopped at Daddy's Soul Food & Grille while visiting in Milwaukee and sooooo thankful to have come across such a great soul food establishment! :) We had a great experience when we walked in the door greeted by friendly staff. You get to choose your food menu items at the counter, order, pay at counter and find a table to sit down at if you are doing the dine in option. On different days of the week, they have different daily specials they serve specific days such as Salmon Croquettes, Smothered Pork Chops, BBQ ribs but everyday serve fried chicken and fish consistently so you may have to visit their website or call to see what they are serving for the day! They also make delicious desserts for your sweet tooth such as banana pudding or peach cobbler. The food we ordered, was hot, fresh, delicious all at a fair affordable price! We ordered the fried chicken with different sides such as greens, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas all extremely delicious & well seasoned like we like it!! The fried chicken was nicely seasoned, fried to golden perfection fried like how grandma would make it or giving off homemade fried chicken vibes!!! Mannnn the kool Aid really hit the spot toooo!!! Soooo good!!! Inside the ambience was a comforting home family vibes with pictures of the owner's/management's family and decorated like you would see at your grandma's or auntie's house. The place was very large and looked like it holds a beautiful event space which I bet would be an amazing place to hold an event or party!!!! Overall, my husband and I left very happy and satisfied planning to come back next time we are in Milwaukee. Daddy's Soul Food is truly a great place to go if you are looking for home cooked style meals and comforting soul food!

Last night, I got the chance to check out Daddy's Soul Food and Grille. I always pass this place and from the outside it looks so cute and has a homey feel. I can now say it feels like you're at home when you're inside! The main finding area full of plenty tables with beautiful artwork on the walls! The food is served in a buffet style and for a plate with one meat and two sides- only 12$! A pretty good deal for some soul food. On Tuesdays, the special was BBQ ribs. My boyfriend had the ribs and they were yummy! Not as tender as I would have expected but the sauce was sweet and tangy and they were a decent size too! I got the friend chicken and it was absolutely delicious! Perfectly seasoned and crispy! The sides of Mac and cheese, green beans and sweet potatoes were good! They were a little too salty for my taste but still not bad. The service was good too! Gave us the big pieces of meat and putting extra sauce on the ribs was a nice touch. This place is great if ur looking for a good home style meal at a great price!

ome of the best soul food I have ever had in my entire life! So glad I found this place and got to go there while I am visiting from California. Service was also exceptional. Really enjoyed sitting in and enjoying my meal. Also brought food to go, which was just as good later.

I went here on a Sunday with my buddy. There was a long line out the doors and everyone was in church clothes. That was my signal to try this place. I ask the guys (men) around me what they order here. They ALL responded with "Catfish"...I guess I'm getting catfish! I listened to all the fellas orders far ahead of me, and they all ordered Catfish. Daddy's did not disappoint! The catfish was excellent and my sides were awesome. I live in Phoenix AZ and can't wait to come back!!

Absolutely fantastic. As two old white folks we are tired and look for no frills, delicious comfort food. We want a friendly atmosphere with no complicated menu selections. In other words Soul Food. If I walk into a soul food restaurant and don't see Black staff and patrons I walk out. Sorry but that would be like walking into a Mexican restaurant run by Asians. It doesn't work for me. Anyway, I selected the fried chicken, mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. It was perfect. A cornbread muffin was added. I loved it all. The restaurant was spotless clean and the staff was very kind and friendly. We were happy and will definitely be back.

The dressing was cornbread crumbled no meat in it and dry. So disappointed the fried chicken was ok Greens were okThe dressing was horrible made whole experience a 0

This place is ..First time here came from all the way from Texas and Louisiana....Read the reviews before I got here and already impressed didn't disappoint what so ever...They showed out....The services is Awesome the Food is Aweseand!!! I got Real Catfish., OMG.....This place is the GO too....Will be coming back soon
