The fried curds with siracha aioli at the 2014 Taste of Madison were a disappointment. Great batter, but sour flavor.

We visited Madison for the weekend and heard a lot of hype about the Curd Girl food truck, so we decided to check it out at the farmers market on Saturday. Honestly, it just didn't live up to the expectations. The cheese curds were good, but they weren't crispy, which was pretty disappointing. I mean, they give you a decent amount for the price, but it just wasn't what I was hoping for. With all the hype, I expected something better. I'm not sure what the big fuss is about, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me. They're usually at the farmers market all summer long, but I don't think I'd get them again. Next time I'm in Madison, I'll probably try cheese curds from somewhere else.

A classic food truck/stand in Madison! Some of the best curds you can find around town. They're pretty popular so be prepared to find a line in front of their truck, but have no fear the line moves speedy fast! Tip 1: They have two windows. One window to order and one order to pick up (don't get confused)! A lot of people will be waiting on the pickup line thinking it's where they order. Once you order they'll give you a ticket that you'll trade in for an order of curds. Tip 2: You can ask for condiment cups. Ranch and Siraccha aioli sauces are both free. There will be minimal space for the sauce in the curd basket they give you (especially if you're a dipper) or you can pile your curds like me, but they do offer free condiment cups. You just have to ask :)

Curd Girl rocks the Capitol Square on Saturdays. These fried nuggets of golden goodness are such a treat and a respite from the crowds at the Farmers Market. This was my first time and I'm hooked!

Obsessed with Curd Girl!!! Honestly, I understand why they are always one of the top cheese curds in the state. The curds are delicious, fried to perfection, so soft and gooey and the dipping sauces do not disappoint! We tried the siracha aioli and ranch. Loved them!!

As someone who was born in Wisconsin, I make it my mission to find the best cheese curds around madison. You'll hear a lot of locals say the old fashioned has the best cheese curds, but I disagree. I think this cute food cart has the best cheese curds downtown. If you're a local you should try these immeditely and if you're a tourist you can try these after your morning at the farmers market. The cart is usually located right across from Lucille's on the square. The curds were cooked to perfection and not too over cooked. My favorite part was the sauce options that the girls offered. They have their own buttermilk ranch and a variety of other kinds is sauces. The only downside was that the only beverage option they offer is lemonade.

The best cheese curds I've ever had!Best part about living in Wisconsin is in this place. We have such great access to high quality, rich cheese. When you deep fry them with a thinly coated batter, you get amazing results. It is easy to mess up though: leaving it in the fryer too long, too greasy, not coated ebough, coated too much!! But, this place does it perfectly. The cheese is soft and irresistible. It's not fried so much that it over powers the taste of the cheese. The batter is thinly coated and has the perfect texture to compliment the cheese. I got the sriracha aioli and honestly, anything aioli is amazing.

I've heard people rave about these cheese curds on yelp so I thought I'd give it a try. I've been on a cheese curd kick lately so I've been trying them everywhere I go. These are traditional in that they are cheese curds that are battered and fried. By the look of some of the photos maybe they've changed the recipe? Also the price is up to 7$ no longer 6. Some of the curds were good, some weren't leaving me overall disappointed. They were very greasy too which isn't the best when it comes to curds. The ranch was WAY too thick. It was just as thick (if not thicker) than sour cream. Overall just ok and I probably wouldn't go back. Not my favorite curd.

Seriously the best cheese curds in the Madison...nee State! Pulley, stringy, melty, yellow cheese curds in crisp, golden brown crust. So savory, comes with siracha aioli. They sell one thing here and that's the only truth you need.

My fiancé and I are getting married this year and all we could think is how amazing it would be to hire curd girl for our late night snack. We sent over 8 emails, using the email on their Facebook, website, Instagram. You name it and we tried. They made a post on Instagram and I commented simply "could you please respond to my message?" they deleted that. They have zero issue just ignoring potential customers/events. They have no professionalism and it's truly just sad. They shouldn't have a business if they ignore customers.

Me and wife review cheese curds around Wisconsin and this one is one of (if not THE) best cheese curds I have ever had. I really wish they would open a permanent location in downtown Madison!
