Cubanitas - Milwaukee

Delicious food served in a festive atmosphere.We visited on a night with a LOT going on in the area so it was busy but food was still coming out in a decent time. Not pictured a perfect plantars punch!

Cubanitas is a gem in Milwaukee! The food is absolutely delicious--authentic Cuban flavors that transport you straight to the island. The Ropa Vieja and Cuban sandwich are must-tries, and their mojitos are perfection.What made this visit extra special was seeing Marta, the owner. She's such a warm and welcoming presence, and it was a joy to reconnect with her. Marta also owns a wedding venue that we used last year, and her dedication to excellence shines through in everything she does. Whether it's hosting your special day or serving up the best Cuban food in the city, Marta's passion and care are unmatched.We'll definitely be back for another amazing meal soon! Highly recommend!

If you're looking for a warm ambiance with authentic Cuban food, search no further. The flavors to every dish we had will definitely entice you for more! Quick service that made us feel just like family locked us in to add Cubanitas to our rotations for food with FLAVOR! The music had me asking for the playlist!! I forgot we were in a restaurant, because I felt so at home! What was my favorite dish? Hard to say, however I will say the the Helado de Coco over the warm brownie was THE perfect marriage!!We will def be back, and encourage you to do the same!

I've been here multiple times during the week and love it here! They have happy hour 4-6pm during the week and it's half off all alcoholic drinks. I got a raspberry mojito for $5 and it was so fruity and spritzy. The empanadas were so delicious and unique. Inside is very eclectic with the decorative frames on the wall and I love how bright it is in there, especially during winter. This spot is in my rotation and definitely recommend.

I ordered from DoorDash and everything arrived in good fashion. I got the pulled beef bowl with black beans, rice and and veggies. Was a pretty good portion for the price. I added a chicken empanada on the side.The beef and veggies were good, I think a good option if you're going for something quick and semi healthy. Nothing to write home about but a decent option. The empanada was interesting... olives and raisins, never had that combo before. I kept thinking idk if I love it but then also couldn't stop eating it haha worth the try!

We have been here a few times before and the food is absolutely delicious! First time here for valentines day. Staff is on point! Super attentive and friendly.I ordered the mojo-tini and wow so refreshing and light. My new favorite drink. I ordered the valentines day special Mahi mahi with yuca mash. I hope this makes it to their menu because this was excellent. My bf ordered the bbq half rack of ribs. He loved it. We were offered to have our picture taken which was super sweet so thank you for a wonderful night.

Four of us came at 1:00 p.m. on a Wednesday, a time that worked for us, but apparently for no one else. The place was empty. Parking at 1:00 is still horrible on that street so consider doing a hike from wherever. Somewhat negative to me is that the restaurant economizes on staff by having you place your order at the bar, but then still gives the lowest tip option at 18%. Because the food choices are interesting, creative, and unique to Milwaukee, however, it's cheaper to travel to Cubanitas than to Cuba. Soooooooooo, we'll come again. Maybe we'll take the Hop and park at a free lot somewhere.

Met a friend for lunch and neither of us had been here before. I love the interior-- they have intentional paint-peeled walls with pastel colors to make you feel like you're in Havana. We shared a beef empanada which was so flavorful and packed with meat. I loved my arroz con pollo, it was flavored very well. My friend loved her pollo asada bowl. The plantain chips are fresh and delicious. I can't wait to come back and I am pumped that I live walking distance from this special spot! Nice to have culturally diverse options in town.

I am a sucker for a good Cuban sandwich, and the one at Cubanitas is one I will keep returning for.Admittedly, after trying the Cuban on my first visit, I haven't explored much else on the menu, but that's a testament to how good it is. It scratches all of the boxes of a traditional Cuban - ham, pork, pickles, mustard on pressed Cuban bread. It's up there with one of my favorites regardless of location.During the lunch hour they are counter service only, which is pretty efficient. A number of different mojitos are available, as well as other beverages if you're looking to power lunch it or are looking for an evening libation.Cubanitas will continue to be a regular stop whenever I'm in Milwaukee.
