Crispy and Grill

I'm from Chicago, and this place is about as close to Chicago-style chicken wings with the mild sauce & lemon pepper that you're going to find in Milwaukee. The only thing missing is the slice of white bread. They make everything fresh to order, so if you're in a rush, then call ahead of time or place an order online. My go-to is the 3 pc whole wing dinner with fries & a piece of catfish on the side. My kids split the appetizer plate with mozzarella sticks, poppers, & fried mushrooms, and everything was tasty, crisp, & fresh. The prices are super reasonable as well. The guy at the counter was great, and super helpful. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy, but what do you expect from a gas station chicken shack? It's clean, and they have bathrooms. The gas at the station was super cheap compared to Chicago prices, so we made sure to fill up before hitting the road. This is a spot I'm happy to stop at when I'm in the Milwaukee area.

I was looking for lunch in the area and instead of going with a nearby favorite of mine, I decided to give Crispy and Grill a try. I stopped in and placed a to go order of their six piece legs and thighs with breaded corn for the side.When I saw breaded corn was an option, the first thing my mind went to was breaded corn nuggets. Never once did I think "hey, maybe they mean literal pieces of corn on the cob that are breaded." Boy, that surprised me. The breading kind of fell off the corn as you started eating it, so it was mostly just corn on the cob that was a little mushy compared to corn that isn't fried. I wouldn't get this again.I feel like I got a good amount of chicken based on the price. There were three legs and three thighs in the container and they weren't necessarily small pieces. Unfortunately, neither the breading or the chicken itself were seasoned, so each piece was just plain chicken in plain breading. Not bad, but also something I wouldn't get again.

Needed an easy comfort meal to take home and vegge out with on the couch, this seemed like the perfect time to check out crispy and grill. The first thing you should know is this spot is connected to a gas station. The second thing I realized that despite how divey the place seemed, their customer service was great with a very nice cashier. They accept tap and Apple Pay if you care about those things. It smells like straight up fryer grease in here. Also their dessert case looked surprisingly decadent and I will be back for some cheesecake.

They switched their barbecue sauce to something unpalatable and I have never been more disappointed. Still hot and fresh, just a waste of 40 bucks with this sauce flip as these have now entered garbage land. My favorite wings are now my least favorite wings unfortunately.Really sucks, as I've been ordering from there weekly or more since they opened.

Great fried chicken! They do a really good job with chicken. I highly recommend it since I'm particular about fried chicken. I especially like that I can get thighs and legs.

I came home later than expected and was too tired to start dinner so I ended up googling Deliveries near me. The first place that popped up was Crisp and Grill. I never ate from here before nor have I even heard of this place. I ended up looking at the menu and everything is average price so I figured I would give it a try. Well let me tell you. Aside from the average affordable price. The delivery was estimated to be 45-70 minutes which to me was fine since of course I wanted them to cook my chicken fully. Anyway, the delivery was 15 minutes early!! Yay on that! I was expecting the food to be a bit soggy since it's fried and being delivered but it wasn't! All the good was scorching hot and super crispy! The potato wedges (4 pieces - which i thought was a bit small in quantity) were actually huge! The fries were still crispy and fish was perfectly cooked. Overall, will i order from here again? Heck yes! Thanks Crispy and Grill for saving my night from starvation!

I'm usually a regular at a well respected West Allis chicken joint. But living in greenfield just off 51st and Cold Spring, last night I asked myself, besides my usual what is the best fried chicken in town. To my surprise, my place wasn't #1, it was #2. Shocker. So I ordered a couple breast's, sons potato wedges, cold slaw, fried okra and a piece of chocolate cake. It was a hair under $28 fir pickup. Chicken and wedges had the same breading, really good and really crispy! Chicken itself was juicy and went great with the breading. Wedges were extra good with the crispy breading. The slaw was a creamy slaw and I Fuji's have had a couple of the little cups. The chocolate cake was very moist and very chocolate-y! My favorite was the fried okra! With the Louisiana hot sauce, they were perfectly dint and made the chicken dinner feel like it was from back home down south. I'm going back and often!Breasts Potato WedgesFried Chicken

I have been a customer for years and enjoy their food BUT when you order through Door Dash and order over $100 in food and they forget to give the Door Dasher items and you have to go pick up the items yourself or get the last of the Cod fish and it looks like it's been sitting there for hours and they say that it was made fresh but don't have any more??? They don't apologize or maybe offer you a discount on next order or something, instead give you attitude cause you gave them a thumbs down. If you order from them, check your food. I don't suggest ordering from Door Dash unless you want to go out to pick up items they forgot.Unhappy customer

Ordered here for the first time just had the most amazing Philly cheesesteak sandwich with everything on it. I'm 52 and I never had one better.

Started out great. Has gone way downhill in past months. Cold & half cooked sides. Now. They just gave my order to the wrong person & REFUSED to remake my order. Fuck me I guess. Won't be back
