Crafty Crab - Wauwatosa

The food was SO delicious! Probably the best lobster I have had in years. The crab legs decent. Shrimp. LucioussssssAmbiance. Very cute and clean. Service was ok, nothing great. So good!!

I was greeted by my waitress, who was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very clean. I ordered the Gumbo, and it was an Awesome surprise how good the Gumbo was. The seafood boil came out shortly after. I went into seafood heaven.

The food was AMAZING! I came from Florida so I was not expecting it to be a good as it was.Little pricey but SO worth it. Highly recommend

My son loves seafood so we ended up at Crafty Crab for his birthday. I will admit I was hesitant due to reviews I had read, but he wanted a seafood boil so I couldn't say no. The atmosphere is nice and would be great except the restaurant is very dirty. Greasy dirty walls, food splattered on window covering, sticky floors will all greet you as you are seated. The service was TERRIBLE! I was hard to get someone to acknowledge us when we walked in the door. What I could see was at least 4 employees sitting down staring at their phones. Once we were seated our waitress, that was very hard to understand, came over maybe 2 times to check on us after ordering. Empty water...CHECK, and it stayed that way. The food however, surprised me. The steam oysters were delicious. The calamari was cut thick, causing it to be stringy, but otherwise okay and the dipping sauce was good. The seafood boils we ordered (party of 7) were delicious. Everything from the lobster to the eggs were filled with flavor. It is a real shame that the staff and establishment are not kept up with because I feel like this could be a successful restaurant. We will not be returning as I was disgusted by the mess. I hope that is not what the kitchen looks like!

I had a hankering for a seafood boil and quickly did a Yelp search! Crafty crab was rated well and not too far from my place so I decided to give it a go! I dined by myself and was greeted upon entry and seated right away. The service was prompt and kind. I chose to go with shrimp, snow crab, and black mussels in their mix of all 3 sauces and medium spice level. This amount came with 1 corn and 3 potatoes. I elected for extra corn. The food came in about 15 minutes and let me tell you, it was wortth.every.penny. The mussels were delicious and plentiful, the shrimp were big, and the snow crab was so nice. The prices were reasonable for the portions and sizes of seafood received. I will definitely be back! Thanks crafty crab for a great spontaneous Saturday meal.

Work on customer service ! Cleaning the restaurant right away when people are done eating and leave and not wait a hour later when new people come in .The seafood boil bag is salty asf and need some butter . Chicken wings are good but shouldn't be the only thing cheap without fries and please give a better beverage options without alcohol

We went here on a Thursday night. There were a few bigger parties that recently got sat. The hostess got us our drinks which gave us time to explore the menu. They have appetizers, kids food - chicken fingers and corn dogs. It was clean in there and didn't have a seafood smell like some places do. The food came out fairly quickly. The food was OK I guess. The meat was juicy and flavorful. Something was lacking, idk. It was kind of bland. Two people 4 drinks $140 with a tip. I wanted to stop and get ice cream on the way home but she was full. We have been on a hunt for seafood places, this is not one we will likely visit again.

An absolute no. Our server, Yuki, was the only highlight, polite and positive and friendly. But the place is filthy. The walls by the booths covered in splatter and sauces and obviously layers and layers of it. Oysters were deeply rank, green and smelled of low tide. I couldn't even bring myself to sample one once the smell hit me. Clam chowder was microwaved and flavorless, and requests for black pepper went forgotten. Once the oysters were sent back, we were also forgotten, perhaps spitefully. Our wings long dead in the window as we were avoided. The drinks were way overly sugared and the Cuba libre made with Pepsi. Altogether a true mess. Avoid.

My bf and my favorite spot was Crab de Jour but it was closed down. We decided to try this place and we weren't disappointed. We got two lbs of shrimp, half of crawfish and half of mussels. The shrimp were big and juicy cooked perfectly. The crawfish were huge, my bf said those were the biggest ones he's ever eaten. The mussels lacked in flavor, you had to dip them in the sauce again to get the flavor because it wasn't absorbed during cooking. We got our food in two separate bags and each bag came with a complementary corn, and four potatoes! We did add 1/2 a lb of sausage and an order of boiled eggs. The only cons were they don't give you salt/pepper and limes like they did over at CDJ, you have to pay for it. Also, the sauce that comes in the bag is not a lot so depending on how you eat you might have to pay for extra sauce. Overall, we will be going back in the future!
