This is where we get our trees for our SoWI home....reasonable prices and great selection....can even cut your own if you're thus inclined. Always fresh. Our trees are typically still fresh when they come down in January...couldn't say that about Chicago trees which make the trip from northern WI before thanksgiving. Bet that some of the Country trees were cut in past week.

We were very excited that Country Side Trees was open the week before Thanksgiving. We drove from Chicago to cut our own tree. Upon arrival, we ask where we could find 7ft Balsam trees. We were directed to the far corner but nothing was labeled. We aren't familiar with different variety of trees and it was much to our surprise when none of the trees had labels or signage. Next, was the issue of all the cut your own trees were barely over 5-6ft. After much disappointment, we decided to make our way back to the pre-cut trees. We picked a pre-cut tree that was 7ft tall, went to pay for it and yet another surprise hit us. Pre-cut trees are at least $20 more expensive. Again, no signage to let us know that. We purchased the tree anyway and it's lovely but not worth the drive or money.
