We stumbled upon Copper on King while looking for a bite to eat before a Milwaukee Admirals game and the Justin Timberlake concert. The bars we initially tried were packed with no open tables, but luckily, this spot had seating available. We had no idea what to expect, but the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately made us feel like we had made the right choice. The restaurant features a long, narrow bar with seating to the right and beautiful copper accents throughout--giving it a sleek yet cozy vibe. Our server, Selina, was absolutely fantastic! She took the time to walk us through the menu, making great recommendations along the way. Without a doubt, the Bee Sting appetizer is a must-try--the combination of feta cheese, hot honey, pistachios, and those perfectly seasoned cauliflower toast points had us craving more all night long! For our main dish, we ordered wings, and Selina suggested doing a dry rub with sauces on the side so we could try multiple flavors. We went with four different sauces, which made for a fun experience--especially for the kids! The wings were perfectly cooked, flavorful, and served piping hot. On top of that, the service was extremely fast--we barely had time to chat before our appetizers and meals arrived. If you're in the area and need a great place to grab a bite before an event, Copper on King is a fantastic choice. Amazing service, delicious food, and a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere--this place is definitely worth a visit!

The Bloody Mary and service were excellent! Our server was attentive and checked on us regularly, which we really appreciated. The toppings and spicy Bloody Mary mix were standout elements that made the drink memorable.Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the same standard. The burger was unremarkable--lacking sauce that could have elevated it--and the patty didn't seem freshly made, likely frozen. Milwaukee has much better burgers elsewhere. The brunch menu was also limited during our visit around 1:30 PM on a Sunday, with few non-egg-based options. The burger was the only sandwich aside from an egg sandwich, and the lemony chicken herb soup felt like an afterthought--basic broth and not particularly flavorful. The prices were reasonable, but I'd recommend sticking to drinks or simpler appetizers here. One person in our party had an egg dish and felt unwell afterward--not sure if it was related, but worth mentioning. The atmosphere, however, was a highlight. The vintage-inspired tiled floors and limestone brick gave it charm, and the location is convenient. That said, our group agreed the food fell short. While I wouldn't call this a foodie destination, it's a decent option for a casual sit-down meal or drink if you're in the area. I hope this transparent review is helpful--I wanted to be honest about our mixed experience.

A cute new spot in MKE! At least, I'm assuming it's new(ish) because there still aren't many reviews. The ambiance is so cute and really plays up the copper theme throughout the entire space, which I really appreciated. A friend and I grabbed a seat at the bar for a late night meal after working an event. The bartender was SO NICE! Super personable and easy to chat with, exactly what you want when sitting at the bar. We decided to split a couple things, and we fumbled with the order because we thought we we were ordered fried pickles (our fault for not paying closer attention!) but it was actually a big ol' bowl of pickles. I normally LOVE pickles but wow these were unlike anything I've ever eaten! They were homemade and the most tart and sour pickles I've ever tried. Definitely a love it or hate it kind of thing. It was too much for me to eat on it's own, but on the burger it was delicious! Speaking of, the burger and fries were super yummy, as were the cauliflower wings. Overall a great spot! They even have a pool table, so I can see it being a fun late night spot.

Anyone else meet their new BFF at a random bar? Head in and chat with Erick, he's the best bartender! And now he's my bestie! He is so friendly and amazing! He LOVES food and will give you his honest opinion about the food (everything is amazing) and let me tell you, he did NOT disappoint. He describes food the way my fellow Yelpers do, yep food porn! I'm trying to recruit him, as he would make the perfect addition to our Elite Club! Smash burger was huge and so filling! Hello chef, you did amazing and my tummy is a happy camper! The halloumi cheese bites were bomb! They were served with the Mediterranean dip (almost tzatziki), the flavors melded perfectly. The pickles are made in house fresh and they are crisp and totally hit the spot! Just a YUM and WOW! FUN FACT; This is the longest straight bar east of the Mississippi! Super excited I found this place! Highly recommend! Come in and give Erick a big "howdy", he'd love it!

Copper on King is new to me! My friend and I recently stopped in for some late-night eats, and thought it was a solid spot. It was a Wednesday night around 10pm, so to be expected it wasn't too busy. We decided to sit at the bar which is sprawling- the length of the whole restaurant. There's also plenty of low-top seating and an area with pool tables. Cool vibes too, with the exposed cream city brick and large copper features behind the bar.The bartender was super sweet and attentive. I ordered a mule and thought it was tasty. We were starving so it was delightful to know their kitchen was still serving food. The buffalo cauliflower wings were really good and had a nice spice to them. The smash burger was also a win, with all of the toppings. However... the house pickles app... we didn't have words. I mean it was comical nonetheless because I'd hardly consider them pickles. Strangest tasting vinegary-type "snack" I've ever tried. We joked with the bartender about them who admitted people either love them or despise them, and I'm sorry to say we're in the ladder group. All in all, a solid addition to this area. Not that I go out much anymore (clearly, if I didn't even know this was here!), but I'd return for sure.

I recently stopped by Copper on King for a pre-show dinner (our party of three was headed to a show at the Marcus Centre afterwards). Our experience was a bit of a mixed bag, so probably more of a 3.5--but I rounded up!We made reservations so were seated straight away. We were seated in the dining area (which is a little ways away from the bar). It was noisy. So much so that our party of three had a hard time conversing and had a difficult time hearing our server (and vice versa). It's all hard surfaces with no curtains or acoustic panels to absorb any of the sound so it's all loud, amplified, and echo-y. We started our experience with a few starters. The whipped feta dip is dreamy and an absolute must order for any feta enthusiasts. The roasted chickpeas were so flavorful and wonderful. We also got the fried cheese squares which we were less enthusiastic about. Our mains across the board were pretty unremarkable. I got the grilled halloumi avocado salad. The cheese was smoky but I wished for more avocado and vegetables. My dining companions both got a smashed cheeseburger, which I tried and was pretty plain. They both had requested grilled onions but they forgot on both so that might have made it a bit better. The cocktail menu is full of mules so for those who enjoy a mule--this place has a variety of them! If you're not into mules, you may find the cocktail menu less exciting. The service was as good as can be expected with the noise challenge. As I mentioned, a bit of a mixed bag but--I'll be dreaming of that whipped feta

Everything about this place is awesome! Staff is super friendly and helpful, & food IS FIRE! The whipped feta dip appetizer is so good, I've gotten it 3 times now. (Hint, ask for extra cauliflower points). Inside is clean and classy, patio is bright & fun! Cocktails are also fun and unique. Don't sleep on the deep eddy spiked mimosa tower for only $40 you get 12 shots of deep eddy vodka & mimosas !!! Get that during brunch!!

Mai Tai Mule was delicious! The smash burger was great as well as the fries, except the fries were cut so small they took forever to eat I also enjoyed the patio seating on a nice summer evening.I was disappointed they had a different menu due to the concert at Fiserv, so I guess I'll have to come back for the chicken Parmesan sandwich.

Historical building downtown nestled within walking distance from FiServ Forum. Menu has heavy hitters of bee sting feta with cauliflower points (outstanding), saucy jambalaya, and short ribs to die for. The longest bar east of the Mississippi, plenty of TV's, private party area upstairs for events. Will definitely return !!
