Cool City Brewing Company

This was my first stop upon arriving in the Two Rivers/Manitowoc area and was surprisingly impressed with the selection of beer & food that was available. The atmosphere was very cool, think of a very polished garage with plenty of seating both in booths or high tops. I sat at the bar and was facing the brewing equipment. The bartender on Sunday night was also the brewmaster and is very knowledgeable about beer and the brewing process if you are interested. I must have come at the wrong time but I was one of 6 people in the large brewery restaurant; a little strange but beyond that I proceeded to order.I ordered a beer flight of bartender's choice and was very happy with the selection I received. The beer was good but very basic, not something I would necessarily purchase a case to take home but good for while at the restaurant. For food, I ordered the mac and cheese flight, technically an appetizer but I had it as a main meal, and they were awesome but VERY rich. You get 3 decent size ramekins that are filled to the brim with food. I really liked the cheesesteak mac the most as the flavors of the grilled peppers/onions and steak cut through the richness of the cheese. Overall good brewery with decent food and beer. If you are looking for a low key spot to go for a few beers and a pretzel or two this is your place. PSA they also have a coffee section of the brewery but I did not try it.

Wait staff wouldn't let me in, they said they were closed even though hours posted say they should be open, and the sign on their door was lit open as well.

Loved this stop while up in Two Rivers.We had already had lunch so just stopped in for drinks. Tried multiple flights but didn't realize they were full size pours. Had a great buzz after that. The staff were friendly and helped get us what we needed. I also grabbed a crowler to go as their West Coast IPA was pretty good. Look forward to coming back here soon!! Want to try the amazing looking food!

This is an excellent brewery with great ambiance (and really good beer). They have notably upped their game and addressed issues from their startup days - mainly, the food has really gotten good.I rate the beer 5 stars; the food 4 stars. They now offer a flight price AND happy hour pricing (and lots of flight options!!!).Yes, they have a kids menu - but so does Hooters. I don't recommend this for family dining. I plan to return because they have really gotten good.

Upbeat, local brewery and coffee shop in the heart of downtown. Our server was friendly and quick. We both got the smoking king served on a corn bread bun with sweet potato tots. The pulled pork flavor was sweet, but had a kick which was very good! The bun was ok but not like what I pictured a cornbread bun to be or taste like. The sweet potato tots were delicious! The menu is unique offering many options for flights not just limited to drinks, but also food flights. We will be back when in the area!

My family and I were in town from out of state. We stopped by Cool City on our first night in town. The atmosphere was great - we ate outside - and our server was friendly and attentive. For starters, we had the cheese curd flight and they were great! I had the taco flight and it was very tasty and filling. My son had the chicken sandwich and enjoyed it with french fries. My wife had the hamburger and fries and enjoyed it as well. Also, they have a great beer selection!Next time we are in Two Rivers we will be sure to visit again.

I had lunch here with my family and it was fantastic. I loved the atmosphere it had lots of yard games to play while waiting for food. Drink prices were great and the drinks were delicious. Our servers were nice and very quick, our waitress Stephanie I believe was knowledgeable on the menu and quick to answer questions. Cheese curds were the best and the tacos were also very good. I loved that everything was a flight, if I come out to visit again I will be sure to return!

We came here on a busy Saturday with kids while in town for vacation. Love the blend of rustic and modern charm interior. We didn't get a server after sitting down so the hostess placed our meal orders. There was a big wedding party at the high top so I guess they we're running short.Our food arrived and it was delicious! The kiddos got the chicken with fries plus an ice cream sundae as a dessert. Our tacos were very juicy and flavorful (maybe not so much with the shrimp one). The cheese curd slider, grilled chicken as well as the pulled pork were excellent! The owner came to our table at the end and chatted with us. It made up for the initial wait. Overall, this is a hot spot for cool beer and tasty bites that surely will delight the pickiest eaters. They even have shaded doggie lounges on the patio, how sweet is that!

Stopped by Cool City Brewing to check it out. The idea of the sampler food platters peaked our interest. The beer selection as well as the full bar options makes this place even great for all tastes. The ability to order a beer flight as well as a liquor flight is a nice option if someone is not a beer drinker. The food options as well as the sampler options were impressive and more than we expected. The smashed burger and the slider sampler were our choices - both very good. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and drink options. Stopped by frequently to check on us and chat - very nice. The owner also swung by and talked to us for awhile, very personable guy. The conversation of old bank to brewery was done very tastefully with the old bank vault available for small gatherings. Definitely will be back for more beer and food

Went here last night for the 1st time and what an awesome impression they made. AAA service first of all. They were super busy, so was our assigned waitress, so who shows up? One of the owners! Not to take our order but to welcome us and let us feel appreciated and not ignored. (The complete opposite of our first and only night at Petskull)Next? Their beer , I got a flight which was a great, large selection. I do prefer a fruity type of beer which they really didn't have, but that's ok, not everyone does have fruity beer all the time. Next? We had flights of their burgers, their cheese curd flight, then got all five cheesecakes to go: no explanation needed. After dinner we went to the bar, gorgeous, polished huge brewing tanks in the background. Sorry, don't know the proper term for them at the moment. Also bought multiple Cool City tops: sweatshirt, super cool flannel shirt and t-shirt. I'd offer only ONE suggestion: FISH ! See you soon and a lot more!
