Oh my goodness what an amazing addition to the restaurant scene in downtown Delafield. I've had my eyes on this place for a while and we were so happy to finally have the chance to stop in! This feels like an upscale place if you love Mexican food but want elevated ambiance. The tacos we ordered were all incredible. The flavor profiles are unique yet familiar - delicious and creative twists to Mexican cuisine. The mango fish taco was by far my favorite: fresh, light, sweet and spicy - so good!! And the lavender flan was the creamiest flan I've ever had. My husband and I also agreed these were also the best margaritas we've had from a local restaurant. We're new parents and brought our infant for the night out - sincere thank you on behalf of all parents looking for clean and functional changing spaces in the bathroom. We really appreciated how clean the bathrooms were, and how nice the changing station was so I could quick do what we needed to do and go back to enjoying our meal. We absolutely will be back!

Such a fun and cute place! My grandma has been wanting to take me here for so so long!! We both got the Milwaukee and loved it!! I also got the brisket - which was good but nothing compared to the Milwaukee. Margs were good. They were PACKED but our server was great and continued to be attentive. Will definitely be back

The food was exceptional! A little pricey, but worth it. The service was great. It was a cute little place with great drinks. We will definitely go back!

I have reviewed Contento before but our visits here are worth additional words. We arrived on a Tuesday night and were seated by a wonderful server, PJ as well as the owner, Manolo and his wife Kelly. It feels so warm and welcoming when we are here. Two tacos, a few chips, and two drinks (twisted hot chocolate!) made for a perfect meal and evening. Tuesdays are not the busiest day which makes for the right day to stop in if you want a calmer-paced evening. And we then got the super cool t-shirts to top off the evening! Thank you, Contento for all you offer the area. The food is delicious and the drinks unique and great. If you haven't been to Contento yet you are missing a treat right in our Delafield backyard. And it is just off I94 at Hwy C so the drive is easy from all directions. The atmosphere is ideal and so far we have not had a bad meal, drink or evening here.

This has all the feelings of a wine bar, not a Mexican restaurant. The queso had corn in it, which is an instant turn off for me. If there was more flavor, it might have made up for it. Our tacos were tiny, cold & the shells weren't even cooked. We tried the brisket taco, which was dry & the Milwalke which was just gross. The sauce made me almost spit out my 1st bite. To top it off, we had a horrible waitress. She was at our table to drop off our tacos & then we didn't see her again for 20 minutes. We were ready to go after 1! Highly NOT recommended!!

I would like to think I am a connoisseur of Mexican food. I grew up in Southern California, and have travelled extensively in Mexico, and frankly - just love Mexican food.Contento is the closest to eating in Mexico that I have seen in Wisconsin. Simple, fresh ingredients that speak for themselves. It's not similar to most of the Mexican food in Southern Wisconsin - a lot of which has been Americanized and diluted with lower quality ingredients so that "more" ingredients and larger plates become the norm.The pico was delicious and mine was well spiced. It was some of the best I have had. The Pollo Caliente was well seasoned, though not particularly spicy to my pallet.But the shining star of the experience was the service. PJ was our server and she delivers a 5 star experience in what I would call a casual dining environment. She was literally one of the best servers I have ever had. If you're looking for super large portions that are dumbed down with Sysco ingredients, I would pass. If you are looking for an experience that you would get actually in Mexico - look no further.And if you're lucky enough to get PJ - treat her well - she's a gem!

The quality of food was a 10/10. The sangria we ordered was one of the best I've ever had. It had a smoky cinnamon stick with a great flavor. Things that could be better-better menu and more options-pricing for what you get is really skimpy I ordered 3 tacos and these are the small street size mini so not even regular size for 15 dollars and no sides. The service was really slow. I don't see this place lasting in the winter without giving people a reason to come or good value.

Really wanted to like this place. Don't understand so many five star reviews. Decor is nice. Staff is super friendly, and efficient. Worth a try for the great service, and nice to see the hostess pitching in and helping it a good experience. Margaritas were very good. Small and expensive, but very good. Pico with chips was just ok. Very bland. Chips tasted like they were the inexpensive ones out of a bag. Milwaukee meat taco was very good. Would have it again. Shrimp taco had cut up pieces, not cleaned, and overcooked and very tough in texture. Street corn was just ok. Guacamole was also just ok. Really nothing stood out as great or even very good. Will try again to check out more of a range of the taco-dominated menu, since so many good reviews, but our experience so far, when they were not too busy on a Thursday afternoon, was not very good. There are a few places nearby where the Mexican food is better, and if you order a top shelf margarita you will get twice the drink for the same price.

We stopped for cocktails and appetizers on a Sunday afternoon. We weren't disappointed. Our waitress couldn't have been friendlier and made great suggestions to us. We were happy that they have a patio, as well as indoor dining options. Great addition to downtown Delafield!

Food was delicious. Service was impeccable. Kids loved the quesadillas. Parents loved the margaritas. The unique kinds of tacos were great. We'll be back soon!
