Coach's on the Lake

I was forced to pick 1 star as they do not have a zero. Do the owners eat this food??? We waited 15-20 minutes for someone to ask us for a drink order and another 15 minutes just to bring a glass of wine. Another 25 minutes for garlic bread. People who were seated next to us 15 minutes after we sat down got their drinks and food before us. Ordered perch with potato pancakes. Just like all the other crappy reviews dating back to 2018 and several changes in ownership and the potato pancakes were still burnt and fell apart. Sorry, but I am not a dog and do not like bones in every bite of fish. Could not even finish it. Were the tiny perch served caught in Lake Denoon? The pizza was bland as there was no taste in the sauce. The waitress never came to our table to see how the food was. We watched as 4 other tables sat there for 45 minutes and still did not have their food as we left. The last time we went there was 2 years ago and swore we would never go back, but were foolish enough to try again tonight. Horrible service, horrible food. The only bright spot was that we were able to park in front of the building as parking is a problem there, which allowed us to leave quickly. Don't waste your time or money. Pathetic.

Just picked up an order of their broasted chicken and it really was right up there with the best chicken I've ever had. I will be returning.

We went there with friends. It was our 1st time. The food was okay. I ordered a steak quesdia but did not get the steak. My husband ordered shrimp which was supposed to come with bread, Cole slaw and sauce. He did not get any of that as well as someone at our table didn't get. 3 of the 5 meals ordered came out but the other 2 were not served until after another table was served, which by the way they sat down at least 15 minutes after us. The reason for the 2 stars is because the young lady that brought out our 1st 3 dinners literally threw them at us as though she was angry at us. We noticed that she had done the same thing at another table. When asked to talk to the manager we were told he was cooking and did not have time to talk to us. This made us feel like he didn't care.

Went there on a Sunday evening and almost no one there. Walked in the back door to sit on their covered porch and went in. The girl acting as hostess immediately turned her back on us and went to the the back of the bar to grab her phone and start scrolling away forcing me to say "excuse me". Food was mediocre as was her service. It seems all of the older waitresses and manager they had are gone and once again we are stuck with teens that don't give a d@mn. This has happened on and off for the last 10 years. Come on Coach your restaurant in Milwaukee is not like this joke. Pay for decent help or sell it to someone who can manage it.

Would not recommend to my worst enemy. The service was unbelievably slow and disorganized. The food was just appalling... from over cooked meat to watery pastas. That is all. I was very disappointed as we were celebrating friend's birthday from out of town.

Broasted chicken, excellent, short of help but very nice! Will be going back.Felt drinks were weak but again very nice

Food was good. Service was ok. Short staffed like every where else but they really tried to accommodate us despite that.Outdoor seating was OK. It appeared that most guests prefer indoor seating. They were not prepared for us to sit out on the porch.The porch had a nice view of the lake.

food is great. we had the burger and baked cod. service was fast and the atmosphere is clean and relaxing

Just returned from a fish fry at Coach's. Service was very good, but was given a cajun clam chowder in error instead of NE clam chowder. It was quite spicy and needed a whole glass of water while eating it. The waitress taking the order did not serve the food as they have food servers. I ordered poorman's lobster. The fish was very dried out, the cole slaw was tasteless, and the bread was like hard tack. My husband's breaded fish fry was ok, but his slaw and bread were as bad as mine. We won't be returning, which is too bad as it's quite close to our home. We've eaten there several times before with varying results, but this was the worst.

We had pizza, garlic bread, and fried eggplant. Everything was delicious! Eggplant is homemade and can't be beat! Quiet relaxing atmosphere.
