Coach’s Corner

My girlfriend and I stopped here for dinner. She ordered chicken tenders with French fries and I ordered the Gourmet Macaroni & Cheese with BBQ Pulled Pork. Each entree was enough for at least 2 meals. They batter their fries first which sounds gross but the suprr light batter is just enough to make them crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Didn't even need catsup! The mac & cheese was superb with the BBQ Pulled Pork on top. Just wow!

Good place to drink and eat for being somewhere in Belvidere. It may actually be one of the best places in town. Coach's Corner is a better than expected sports bar and grill. For sure it was a lot nicer than it initially looked like about to enter it. The inside is clean and modern, and there's actually a hostess stand, making them among the town's higher class places. Assumed it was a divy sports bar. It's actually a pretty nice place to be honest. This is a pretty safe place to bring a family as it turned out. It's about $7 for a basic cocktail. Whiskey and whatever. Among the food there's not a whole lot of vegetarian choices. Some smaller appetizers or bites though. It's about $5 for the Chips & Coach's Salsas. That's plural, as there's arbol and tropical habanero flavors of these. Hot stuff so be careful. The rest of the food is regular stuff like burgers and fries. For a sports bar in a boring town it's good enough. It's a much nicer experience than expected to be sure. The staff is mostly friendly and there's good prices on things.

Definitely a 1 and done. Ordered 6 wings ate 1Ordered a tall glass a beer had a sip. Warm glass= not cold beer, seemed flat as well. Wings are not it at all probably some of the worse I've had. French Fries (not pictured) are actually really good, only reason I gave an extra star.

It's been quite awhile since I frequented this establishment. I did a review when they first opened, ( pre-Covid) and this is sort of a follow up to that. First, let me start with what really impressed me- Physical plant/ Ambience- If you asked me how old the remodel was on this place, I would say a few months. Everything looks just as clean, and maintained, as it did years ago. Ray Kroc would have tears in his eyes, on how well this place was maintained. The bathroom looks brand new. Pin ball machines were a very nice addition, for those of us tired of funding the state thru the slot machines. Service- I realize that every place has good and bad days, but it is obvious this place has a service culture. This starts from the owner, and works its way down. Our service was excellent today, as I am sure it is, in a regular basis.Food- Very fast, and came out perfect. I had the wings, and they were great. My wife had a blue cheese burger, that was also impressive. The menu has evolved into bar food, as I said they would on my first review. However, when you do bar food well, you can still be successful. Beverages- I had a 16 ounce Blue Moon draft at $5.00, which was a good price. My only gripe, is the lack of selection on tap beer. No micro brews. Even Guinness would be a nice choice. I think the place opened with too few taps available. If you are going to do your ambience a favor, make the product you sell worthy of it. Remember, the hole in the wall dive bar they replaced, had them beat in two respects. The Friday night fish fry was epic, and they had Pig Slap Vanilla Porter on tap. My suggestion, add 4 more taps- Ps- The owner of Belvidere Appleby's needs to spend a day or two here- service ambience.

Good food, service was great. Atmosphere was pleasant. Nice place to stop and get a bite to eat.

Stopped in tonight to try the fish. The place was packed. And food was excellent. Highly recommend.

I have eaten here many times. I try something new on the menu every time. I have absolutely loved every bite of food! The portions are very generous and I always go home with a box. Tonight it was fish and chips. Best fish fry I've had in a long time! I love the bar too! People, staff and owners are very friendly and make you feel welcome!! I highly recommend!!

Logan Myers was a wonderful personal trainer! I highly recommend if you are an athlete or someone wanting to get in great shape! I'm in my 40s and can't say enough good things.

Ordered takeout! Food was hot and very flavorful. Ordered eggrolls, onion rings, hamburger and chicken sandwiches, chicken strips and cod dinner! I would recommend all of it. Staff was very friendly. Two different people offered to help me to the car with my order. We will be ordering again! Food was ready on time! Highly recommend!
