City Inn Banquet & Hall

This has new owners now and called "On Broadway" the burgers are phenomenal with many different and unusual flavors to choose from, which have all been delicious.

Really sad Friday night fish night. City Inn was not busy, we're waiting for an hour for a simple platter and order of perch. Two small orders ahead of us, one with burgers and they waited 50 minutes. The other group of 3 still waiting too! Won't be back for a long time, what happened. They used to be excellent.

So, its Friday and my wife wanted to go out for fish fry. Every time we drive past the City Inn the parking lot looks full, so we figured they must have decent food.We were wrong. We were so wrong. My wife took one bite of her food and the first words out of her mouth was "something is wrong with this". The fish actually tasted like mold. The mashed potatoes were instant, and the gravy was mostly tasteless. The chicken was over-battered, and very greasy, as well as being overcooked and stringy. The drinking water was served out of one of those round igloo water coolers, and also had a bad taste (seriously, the freaking water tasted bad!) I was tempted to order a beer at this point as I was very thirsty, but by this point we didn't want to give this business any more of our money. Things that weren't horrible about the meal: potato pancakes (which were actually deep fried potato fritters, but whatever) and the applesauce. I don't totally slam restaurant very often, some days a restaurant is just "off", or having a bad day... In the end I want to support local business owners... but I would use the adjectives "abhorrent", "disgusting" and "inedible" to describe the food at City Inn. If the food would have been decent I would also forgive the fact that the interior of this restaurant looked like the rec room of a prison (two-tone painted cinder block walls with no windows), but since it wasnt good I will complain about that too. Seriously, avoid this place at all costs.

Went there on a Wednesday night for a bar burger. Our waitress was great! Food was bar quality, it was just what we were looking for. Mixed drinks were made perfect not watered down and not so strong that you gasp after taking a swallow. Berlin doesn't have much to offer in restaurants so we are fortunate to have the City Inn.

love this place their burgers are amazing and they're broasted chicken is the best! The service is also great

If you are looking for a good Friday night fish fry, this is your place. My husband and three kids loved the fish and award winning potato salad, and it was reasonably priced. Get there early.....it's always packed!
