After a long day of Black Friday shopping, I was starving and craving a sandwich. In the distance, I saw the word cheesesteak, and my car miraculously drove me over to check it out. I was the only customer inside, so it gave me some time to check out the menu. I decided on the chubby cheesesteak with steak (I could choose chicken, too). It comes with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and onions. I also ordered a side of tots because, of course, you need tots. The food came out quickly, and I was on my way. The sandwich was delicious but packed with lettuce, and the bread was too thick. It was hard to bite into it without everything falling out. Either way, I still enjoyed it, and it was very flavorful. I will definitely go back and try another one!

THE DESSERT SHOP AT CHUBBY'S CHEESESTEAK:I have ordered dessert a few times from here and honestly it never disappoints. I'm surprised to see such low reviews for this place so I am assuming it must be related to the food rather than sweets. In the past I have ordered the cheesecake and it was delicious although there's not much you can mess up there. I like that this place is open late at night because I eat dinner late and then crave dessert even later. Here's what I ordered this time:1. Banana milkshake with peanut butter and whipped cream. The first thing I noticed is that it was packaged securely which I appreciate for the delivery I ordered. The straw was a little bit narrow for the consistency so I had to wait a for it to melt a tiny bit before fully enjoying the drink. I thought the drink tasted delicious. The peanut butter I chose to add definitely overwhelmed the banana flavor so maybe I'll just get banana next time. Still fantastic. There are many small chunks of banana in there which I don't mind. If you don't like that you could ask for it extra blended. The whipped cream on top was not very sweet mostly pure cream flavor without added sugar and quite stable, it did not melt away and kept its form at the top of my cup. It's a heavy shake. I wonder how it would taste with the malt added rather than the peanut butter though that might make it heavier. I'm always experimenting with the options to add things. 2. Deep Fried Cheesecake, Strawberry FlavorWoooohee is this heavy but if you're going to order a deep fried something to share with someone I think this is a great option. The strawberry sauce with strawberry chunks on top was so sweet bright and artificial - I loved it. So much. The best way I can describe the fried batter on the cheesecake would be exactly like that on fried ice cream if you've ever had that at a restaurant - thick, crunchy on the outside soft on the inside, flavorful, oily, delicious. The cheesecake had been melted to an ooey gooey consistency inside of the crunchy outer layer. The only utensil I was given was a plastic fork which was not enough to penetrate the layer of batter so I had to find a knife to help out. I tried this for dessert after eating dinner and was only able to eat a couple bites before tapping out. It was a hefty sized slice. Worth the price. UPDATE: As I continued to work on my leftover cheesecake I discovered that the deeper I got into eating it to more it was covered in some sort of cake like batter which is why it looked so large. Half of this batter was completely uncooked. The outer crunchy fried layer on top of the cakey layer was so delicious. I'm adding a photo now to show you guys. Perhaps dipping the cheesecake in less batter would have solved this issue because the sauce and that outer crunch layer was so nice.

For the price of a steak dinner you can order some below average food and feel jipped after...I'm up in Milwaukee today for work ::ahem:: Chicago is always better than Milwaukee everything ::ahem::So I click on my convenient Uber eats app and WiscoBurger popup looks good. The pictures look amazing with stacked juicy patties, unique unhealthy topping and savory side. I soon learned Uber eats puts up generic pics for the items???? Why??? Anyways. I order the fiesta burger: chipotle bean patty, jalapeño poppers, jalapeño mayo, pick, pepper jack cheese, lettuce tomato. White cheese curds and a chocolate peanut butter shake. My total was $32!!!!!! WTF!!! Let's just say my fancy side was dominant today. Since my stomach runs my brain, I ordered it. Where do I start the break down. $11 fiesta burger- warm, cold jalapeño poppers, made with the incorrect cheese. Besides that it was good. $6 white cheddar cheese curds- cold, generic brand, prepackaged flavor. $6 milk shake- 12oz!!!! How??? $6-12oz????Overall the X factors out weighed the food taste. 1 star for the over priced average food.

I have been waiting for this spot to open since spring and it's finally open. It's still rough with some finish work left to do, some tables have signs that say there not finished and don't use them. The place is small and colorful with a few tables as of now. There is the mega soda machine and an icee machine with two flavors next to a beverage cooler with misc bottles and cans. For parents there is a children's area with some small seats and toys with a child themed wall. The menu board is imported from Times Square which hangs above the counter. The menu is the usual chubbys which reads like a phone book with every fast food option known to mankind. I will never have 99.9 % of the menu even if I tried some new items. I had the (chubbys cheese steak) which comes with cheese whiz, steak, lettuce, mayo, tomato and raw onions. The bread was fresh with a chewy crust that holds up well to this mess of a sandwich. The cheese whiz is thick/creamy and sticky with all that tender steak. All the ingredients worked very well which was tasty, the first time I strayed from just steak and cheese. Cheese whiz is what real Philadelphia cheese steaks use mostly but can be substituted with other cheeses and what most places completely get wrong. Is chubbys the best cheese steak around, most people probably would say no. Most cheese steaks around are like beef sandwiches with melted provolone cheese which is basically a cheesy beef and I don't like melted cheese on my beef sandwich. Chubbys appeals to me because it's chopped steak, not sliced beef with the creamy thick cheese whiz sauce.I have been to three of their locations now and the consistency is the same. What I like about chubbys is that they have cheese whiz as an option where hardly anyone in the Milwaukee offers that, cheese whiz for me is what makes a cheese steak and what keeps me coming back. There was one hiccup to report that did not factor in to the review because they don't officially have the grand opening until 1/5/17 and is just for the record. My number was skipped, two numbers after mine were called so I asked why my number was not called, my food was on the table and they missed it which is no biggie.

This seems to be the perfect place for the munchies, specially if it is late at night. On my first time, I ordered the Chubby's Cheesesteak and it was good! The fries were as well. My husband and I were satisfied with our dinner. I can see myself ordering Chubby's after a night out.

We went to the restaurant around 4:00 on a Sunday. We were the only ones at the restaurant. It took awhile to order because the staff was in the middle of balancing a register. The cheesesteak was salty and unimpressive. Portillo's is way better. The brownie sundae was hard. It was soo hard we could not even cut it with a plastic knife. The best part of the place is the classic arcade game.

Hate to say it but I will not be back to Chubby's anytime soon. The best thing here was the fries and that's it. The sandwich bread was semi-soft mostly cold and hard. The meat was unseasoned and lacked any flavor at all. The only thing that was halfway decent about the place was the atmosphere. Not sure what happened to the quality control for this joint but Eek! Methinks not is as close to accurately describing this place as it gets!

This was a truly terrible experience. My wife and I ordered lunch from Chubby's. It was a large order of spaghetti with bread stick. The price was $16.99 with a hefty five dollar plus delivery charge through EatStreet. Including the tip, this disaster of a disappointing spaghetti mush cost us $26. The quality of the food was horrific. I told my coworker that it reminded me of the ghastly spaghetti I was force-fed at a rural school district in Arizona when I was a child eating in the cafeteria. It's hard to make bad spaghetti. Most of us can manage a reasonable spaghetti at home. Throw I n a handful of noodles, fry up some low-quality hamburger, and mix it with a little bit of red sauce. This is a no-brainer, something within the reach of the most college freshman cooking on a hot plate in their dorm room. So when you order spaghetti at a restaurant, you expect something a little better. Maybe a few herbs for taste. If it's a meat sauce, you expect the to be thoroughly cooked into the red sauce, not chunky gobs of hamburger. If there are meatballs, you expect them to actually be shaped like a ball. You know, balls? Those round spherical things? What you don't expect is something that looks like a brick of hamburger was fried and then chopped into little squares and topped with some red sauce with no cooking time. And in terms of value, the reason spaghetti is enduringly popular with families is that it is one of the cheapest meals you can make. A little cheap hamburger, half a jar of Prego, and about $.13 worth of noodles will feed a family of three or four people. So imagine my surprise when I opened this child sized portion that looked like a baby's foot inside Michael Jordan's basketball shoes. Small food, big box. Actually, the container itself was reasonable. One of those aluminum dishes you would expect from any pasta place. The problem was it was 20% fullAnd as mentioned, my seven-year-old niece makes better spaghetti. This was not $17 quality. And it was definitely not $17 quantity. When I called the restaurant, the woman was very nice and polite. Whoever I talked to on the phone was professional, and I hope they treat her well at the restaurant. She certainly knew how to de-escalate an angry situation. However, she explained that they weigh their portions and that I clearly received a large portion and that the small one is sent in a much smaller container. I understand that it's her job to say so, but that's crazy.I asked them to come pick the food back up and return my money. I bought this through a third-party online, and she said there's no way they could do that, although realistically yes that would have been possible. At that point I would've accepted any concession from them. I just wanted another human being to admit that it was a tiny spaghetti. At any rate, I have now made sure to go out of my way and tell the story to numerous people who live nearby to let them know Chubbys is a rip off. My wife was so frustrated she almost cried. She's a fantastic cook, and the thought of spending $26 for three dollars worth of gross cold spaghetti ripped her heart out. The experience was so bad that I literally signed up for a yelp account to post my first review.

Fries are decent and the only reason they didn't get 1 star. Cheesesteak lacking cheese. Meat is unseasoned and the "steak" tastes and has the texture of ground beef, not steak. Philly cheesesteak had barely any onions or peppers and lacked flavor. Bread was very soft but clearly they didn't toast it while the filling finished cooking which made it soggy. Had to add Doritos to the sandwich for texture and cheese flavor to make it "edible"
