Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream

Best ice cream in Madison. The Fitchburg location has a nice indoor play area for kids with a little play ice cream shoppe. There's a nice outdoor patio for the summer. Parking is easy in the private lot or on the street.

This Chocolate Shoppe location was in a quiet location. There was ample parking available behind the location. I went for 3 scoops - Turtle, BlackBerry lemon bar and Caramel apple pie. All flavors were good. Turtle was my favorite flavor. They scooped genorous quantity of ice cream.

Great all natural ice cream....sooo much better than store brands with fillers and gums I can't even pronounce. Would have been 5 stars but the management needs to provide better training to staff...didn't know how to make a chocolate shake ?!?

On the way back to our hotel in Madison from the goat restaurant, we decided to get some ice cream and we went to this ice cream parlor that we never heard of were from Chicago and and my wife got some dark dark chocolate ice cream and I got some coffee, flavored ice cream with huge chunks of chocolate in it And both were phenomenal and the place was adorable. It was cute ice cream parlor clean bathrooms and I don't know what else she could say about it but it was great.

I am SO happy that Chocolate Shoppe stuck around after Roman Candle left - they had such a small spot in the restaurant, but enveloped the place and turned it into the coolest ice cream shop I've ever seen! The decor is beautiful, the murals on the wall are so vibrant and it makes you want to stick around to devour your ice cream cone. This location is about 5 minutes from my house, and one block away from my office. It's a perfect setting! It's tucked away a bit, which makes me worry about the longevity of the shop, but I hope it does well. It's very spacious, and there is even a beautiful patio for summer. Inside there is a kids play area, and SO many flavors to choose from. Chocolate Shoppe is delicious, and will now be my go-to for tasty treats!

Who wants to end the weekend with ice cream? *waves hand back and forth con vigor* Chocolate Shoppe filled a craving exactly as it should have.The staff was friendly, quick, and efficient. The key lime wasn't as good as I wanted it to be, but it was okay. The blueberry cheesecake was delightful- rich, creamy, sweet, and a hint tart. Yummo. If I am in Madison again during an ice cream craving attack, I know what direction to head.

I love the new location for Chocolate Shoppe and they are unmatched when it comes to flavor options. It is fun to watch someone make a cake through the clear window too! The seating is well arranged and distanced.We both ordered two scoops, but the results from two different employees was extreme. I had twice the amount my husband had -- but we both paid for the same thing. The birthday cake was also a little sour tasting? It wasn't as good as I remember, but we will still be back!

Love this ice cream place. Their ice cream were so smooth and creamy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only flavor I liked so far from them is butter pecan. I wished they have more flavors.

I went to this Fitchburg location with 2 little girls. They wanted to use their coupon that they received from Girls On The Run. The coupon stated "receive 1 free single scoop in a cake cone, sugar cone or dish." I ordered a single scoop on a sugar cone for each girl, plus 1 pint of mint avalanche. The total came to $11.33. The cashier charged us extra $2 for no reason, because the girls ice cream was supposed to be free, the pint was $8.00. Also we arrived and no one greeted us to take our order. No other customer was there. Poor customer service. Over charged us. Disappointed overall.

Best ice cream in Madison and happy to find it now in more cities even in northern Wisconsin.
