Chinatown Kitchen

First annoyance about this place was that we tried to order online for delivery. After entering our entire order, the site wouldn't give us the option to select delivery. I then called and she said I had to order over the phone to get delivery. When choosing delivery we were not able to use coupons at all so the bill automatically went up about $7. (Not including the delivery charges) The food was delivered in a decent amount of time. One of the items we chose was egg foo young. The gravy was missing. Egg foo young is not the same without gravy. I called and was told they would just give me extra gravy next time or I could come and pick it up! What extra gravy next time? I didn't want extra. I wanted the gravy now. I had already spent about $20 more to have our food delivered with not being able to use the coupon along with delivery charges and tip tip for the Uber eats driver. (Btw - he was great!) After talking with the owner the only thing they did was credit my cc for $2. This was very disappointing because egg foo young isn't good without the gravy. It went in the garbage. I will never order from this place again. We have ordered from them for many years and honestly the food has gone down hill and isn't the same as it used to be. I would recommend other restaurants in the area!

This is like the worst Kung pao shrimp I've ever had. I was actually angry when I open up the container and realized they had given me a container of carrots and celery with a few shrimp. I don't like celery, and usually when I order king pao I say no celery, but so many places have said that they don't use it so I stopped bothering. Even so the sauce was just watery and had zero heat...I'm not saying it only had a little heat..I mean NONE AT ALL. I literally could've whipped this up in my kitchen with a bottle of soy sauce and a bag of carrots. 2 stars instead of 1 because the food was hot and I also ordered crab Rangoon which was decent.

I regularly get lunch from here and it's always been very good inexpensive food! Not anymore! I had been seeing some other cooks in the kitchen and noticed the after one bite of the chicken that sometimes had changed. Weird mouthfeel hard to describe. Ate most of it but wasn't happy. Thought it was a fluke went back same thing. Today I tried it again but went with the beef even that had a weird mouthfeel! New ownership but not for the better. Search starts for a new go to place!

I wanted some Chinese food for lunch so I stopped by one of my bookmarks for a lunch special. The place is in a strip mall next to JC Penny, off to the side and I missed it the first drive by.The place is another Chinese place that has no one in it like lots of Chinese places that I have visited. The place is big and open but only has 5 tables with colorful walls. The menu has all the usual dishes but I would try the sweet and sour pork for a change lunch special with an extra shrimp egg roll. The lunch specials only comes with rice, white or fried by the way and I took it to go.Right away after opening the lid you could see the pork was fluffy looking but I was hopping for the best, I pushed my fork in and it was spongelike, I ate a couple pieces and it was spongy and not very meaty because there is a small piece of pork and 2/3 batter around it. The pork fried rice was cooked perfect, no mushy rice with very little pork. The shrimp egg roll was better than average but not that great egg roll I'm searching for.Overall the food was ok but its not the best or the worst lunch special and my favorite place is still safe after all these years, if I went back I would get a meat/veggie dish to try.

I stopped in to Chinatown as Culvers was to busy for me. As this was my first time here I stayed with the basics Shrimp fried rice and Shrimp egg fo young. The shrimp fried rice was terrible, no taste at all, none. Although it had shrimp in it you would not know by tasting it. I don't think there was anything else in it. The egg fo young was better and more similar to what you might expect. But again lacking that big taste. The gravy was terrible it was more like a dipping sauce than gravy for egg fo young ,it was an unexpected surprise that was not good.The service was fast.

So glad I drove past all the chain restaurants to find this amazing Chinese restaurant. Mongolian beef was amazing - but highlight was the handsome young boy taking orders. Beautiful eyes and spirit. Great vibes. Please pass on the Panda hut and come here and support this family.

My experience with Chinese restaurants has been 50/50 and when I finally hit on one that was consistently good - we moved out the area. My new search, around Richfield, led me through the Germantown/Menomonee Falls area and, while OK experiences, nothing so far has been worth a return visit. Chinatown kitchen has potential. I'm not a Chinese gourmet. Just looking for good preparation, seasoning, and quality ingredients. Small sample size, but our General Tso, Pepper Steak and veggie fried rice met expectations.Looking forward to sampling more of Chinatown's menu.

Dated. Smells like dead fish. All the buffet food tastes like bad leftovers. Variety? Non existent! No Senior discount and over priced lunch or diner. Go the deli in the Sendicks down the road. Service, great a taking your money right away, try getting your dirty dishes removed. Joke.

Terrible food. I ordered sweet and sour chicken. And egg foo young!! Gravy was nasty. And the chicken had no sweet and sour sauce. A total waste of money!!!

Online ordering works great. Friendly staff great food at a good value. Order for lunch for training classes always on time and correct
