First time I've ordered from China Wok...our whole order took 20 minutes! I couldn't believe it! And everything is delicious. Mmmm!

Even though China Wok is a little further away from me than the other " XXXXX China" place, I've had better food from here than the other. Service is about the same for both. However the food is much better. The other place is too salty. Plain white rice has smelled bad. China Wok at this location has not disappointed. IF a mistake happens they quickly and happily correct it.

This place is super efficient in making accurate orders and getting them to you timely. If I'm going for flavor I would probably lean towards a competitor but if It's later and I'm out of options it's a strong choice.Food will satisfy the craving but can be bland at times.

I am visiting Madison, WI for an 8-day stay, and am staying at the new Hotel Indigo on East Washington Ave. Yesterday (Sept. 25), as lunchtime neared, I started craving Chinese food, and, after having done a bit of research online on the best Chinese restaurants in Madison, I went online and ordered a lunchtime meal from this restaurant for delivery to me at my hotel.Among other items (I am a big believer in ordering lots of Chinese food so that I can put leftovers in the fridge) that I ordered, I ordered, if my memory serves me correctly, the following (a partial list follows): fried dumplings, extra white rice, shrimp egg foo yung, a big bunch of egg rolls, and fried rice.When I placed and paid for the delivery order online, the delivery website stated, quite reasonably, particularly because it was lunchtime on a weekday, that the estimated delivery time would likely be about 55 to 65 minutes from the time I placed the order. I was quite pleasantly surprised when the hotel's front desk called me only 26 minutes later to tell me that the driver from China Wok had already arrived bearing my bag of food! Amazing! (Of course, I went downstairs immediately, gave the driver a tip, and grabbed my bag of food!)Well, all of the food turned out to be great, and much as I had planned, I ended the meal with a ton of leftovers to put in the fridge in my room. In fact, I ate some of those leftovers for my lunchtime meal today! Best of all, I still have sufficient leftovers in the fridge for one more meal (likely tomorrow's lunch...!).All of the food that I ordered turned out to be of very high quality, was very tasty, and also tasted very fresh. I will, of course, be placing more hotel delivery orders from China Wok during the remainder of my stay here in Madison! This is a great Chinese restaurant!Finally, I must admit that I am still stunned that their driver managed to deliver my meal only 26 minutes after I had placed the order online, despite the fact that I had placed the order at lunchtime on a weekday!

It seems to me that they must have changed management. My wife and I have been eating at China Wok for more than 23 years. We aet there 2-3 times a month. Last week we ordered a few things. We ordered Cashew shrimp in white sauce, general tso and soup. We received cashew shrimp in a brown sauce, the general tso combo platter which comes with pork fried rice. We had the order delivered. When we received the order, the combo platter was mostly rice with egg in it and no pork, the chicken was a few pieces on top, almost no sauce and not spice to it. The cashew shrimp was in a brown sauce. We called about the cashew shrimp. They said they will mark it down and we would get a fee one next time we ordered. I decided to stop there 2 days later and nobody knew what we were talking about. They eventualy gave me a replacement order of the cashew shrimp. When I told them about the General TSO combo plater, they said there must have been a mix up with my order.Today I stopped by and ordered the General TSO combo Platter, crab Rangoon and some rice soup. The General TSO was on a bed of rice like previously, it didn't have any spice to it and since the chicken was on a bed of rice there wasn't many pieces of chicken on the order. The soup was cold and my wife said it didn't have much flavor. We each ate a crab rangoon and threw the rest in the trash. It just was not good. The egg rolls are no longer the same size as before either. They are only at best 2/3 the size they used to be. We gave them a second chance, I guess this is how they are conducting their business now. It used to be the best Chinese in Madison. I don't think we are going to eat there again. I will be looking for another restaurant to buy our Chinese food from.

Food was great, fresh and flavorful. Not too greasy, and nothing we tried tasted bland. The family and I were able to enjoy some great fried rice, peppered steak, pork lo mein and General Tso's chicken. Moving from Milwaukee, this is a major step up. If you want good and fast Chinese food with flavor, check this place out!
