Truly bewildered by the reviews claiming this is "the best in Kenosha". I gave this place the benefit of the doubt and I regret it. Extremely inattentive and apathetic customer service. Upon arrival, the restaurant was completely empty (at 12:30pm on a Saturday), which should have been a red flag. There was nobody behind the counter. I was not greeted nor given a menu. I picked up my own menu and seated myself. A woman shuffled around the dining room, passing me multiple times and completely ignoring me until I finally waved at her enough times. I asked for a cup of water and she tried to make me buy a bottle of water. Does the restaurant not have potable water? I ended up getting a can of soda. No glass given until I asked. No straw given; I had to get up and get it myself. The waitress took my order without writing it down, which should have been red flag #2. She then emerged ~5 minutes later with the appetizer I ordered: some truly disgusting and tasteless crab rangoon, and an entirely different entree than what I had ordered. I told her it was the incorrect dish and she tried to give it to me anyway. Guess she should have written it down! She offered to have me keep the incorrect entree while she went back to make the correct one. I told her I would just eat the slop she brought me, which was pretty awful with frozen vegetables thawed in a gelatinous sludge with a few pieces of shrimp. I ate about half and gave up. The restaurant was so freezing cold that by the time I tried the rice, it was also cold. No sauce for the egg roll that comes with your lunch special. Awful, tasteless, poorly prepared, poorly presented, mediocre, forgettable food all around. I declined any further delicacies, so the waitress brought me the bill, where she had elected to charge me for the incorrect entree that I never ordered! Absolutely pathetic customer service, and since the food was so bad, I see no ever reason to ever visit here again. Please don't waste your time. The Subway next door is unironically a better choice. 0/10

the best in kenosha ! food is always flavorful and filling. i haven't used their dine-in option but this was a staple we used to order all the time! don't let the reviews steer you away, the food is always hot and fresh and yummy. the cashier is sweet too. enjoy !

I ordered this for delivery. It all came hot which was great. It seemed to take quite a while before they prepared it though as I live only 10 minutes from there. I really didn't expect it to take the whole hour plus that the delivery service quoted. Maybe they were hopping at the actual restaurant or had a lot of deliveries and pick ups. There were no chopsticks included as requested though so I had to hunt around the house for some. (Just moved so my own nice wooden and plastic ones are MIA currently.) I really hate eating any type of Asian food with a fork. I've practiced since I was small to be proficient with them. Just doesn't taste as good without that effort. Lol I'd like to give more stars cause the crab Rangoons ARE some of the best I've ever tasted. The lo mein was just what I have been looking for noodle wise for a long time. (Others have been way too thin and not so great.) The white rice was the perfect amount of sticky to make it easy to use with chopsticks. And it all came nice and hot as I said above. Truly unfortunate but the Orange Chicken was really just meh. Very bland so that really brought the whole meal down since it was the main course. It's supposed to be a spicy dish. (China Star even describes it as such on the menu.) And it was not at all. I like the spicier dishes usually. If only the orange chicken wasn't so boring, I would have given a 4 star rating.

Never order delivery with these folks!Ordered $36 worth of food, waited 15 minutes to get delivered the driver texted my phone "china star driver"Hmmm...ok, i texted back "need help finding us?" She calls my phone and says "thought you would call me instead of text me"...huh? Anyway, couldn't find our house, apparently she doesn't know how to use Google Maps to find an address that's in a pretty non rural area... rude as hell to boot. Called the restaurant and the owner says "you want to cancel the order"? okay and hangs up the phone. Awesome customer retention! Lesson learned, I'll never stray from Panda Szechuan Chinese restaurant again.

Have frequented this place, about 5 times through the years. First two times, I recall, we had our portions in platters. After that, just a dinner plate. Today, I ordered two combination plates. Only to receive our food in a lunch container... Food was fine. But I was not remotely full with the portions. Couldnt serve me tap water. But boiled some for tea... I don't think, I'll be eating here again.

Had the Gen Tso chicken. Very good great service also looking forward to returning to try more dishes

Best lo mein I've ever had. The owner is so sweet every time I come in with my son. The prices are great and my order is always ready within 15 minutes of ordering.

I've been to a few places in Kenosha for Chinese food. This place by far the best one! I didn't get the waitresses name but she was awesome. We'll definitely be coming back. Prices were fair! 2 dishes, 1 appetizer & three sodas for like 32 dollars.

Just ordered from here... the prices were VERY misleading. I believe it's important for restaurants to be honest with prices, I wouldn't have ordered all of the food if I knew about the "secret up-charge". This being said, the service was great. The woman working in the front was very kind too. The food was also good too. I just wish they could've been more clear about pricing

China Star more like China no stars! This is too greasy and not flavorful enough to be called Chinese food. Don't waste your money.
