Over the years this place has gone downhill. Last time I stopped I got a a half warmed wonton soup that upset my stomach. No thank you. We won't return.

China City, what happened to you? I know we are 7 months into the pandemic, but your fortress counter wall and mail chute food delivery and baby monitor payment is not customer friendly. And the food? Two chicken dishes tonight, both uneatable. Cashew chicken that was literally Sesame chicken with a few cashews sprinkled on top. What chicken was there was scraps. General Tso's with more candied breading than chicken. What chicken was there was scraps. You've been our go to in the area for years, but we likely will have to part ways.

This used to be my go to for Chinese, but I leave severely disappointed and will never return. Ordered lunch special vegetable lo mein and vegetable fried rice. The noodles in the lo mein were tasteless and wet (like spaghetti noodle straight out of the pot). There didn't seem to be any sauce or seasoning to speak of. The rice was way over cooked and terrible. The worst part for me was that I specifically ordered vegetable only, and I found a large piece of boiled chicken after my first few bites! I specifically told the cashier taking my phone order to have everything vegetable based and no meat as I am vegetarian!I threw away almost my entire lunch with no time to run for anything else, and had to return to work on an empty stomach! This restaurant has two separate listings for their reviews, so I am posting twice.

I have been a faithful customer to this place. I ordered a meal through Uber Eats, and it was supposed to be a combo plate with pork fried rice. The food was delivered without my pork fried rice thanks to Uber Eats. So I drove about 3 miles to the restaurant to see if I can get my pork fried rice. Their attitude was very poor, and they blamed everything on Uber and the owner told me I was going to have to pay extra for the fried rice. A yelling match ensued because I informed him that per his menu the large Egg foo young cost the same as combo plate. $7.50 for the large Egg Foo Young, (same price for the combo) so I asked him to just give me the Fried Rice and I will be on my way. He starts yelling saying that the Large Egg Foo Young was $17.00 and he was not going to just give me the rice after I paid what the combo cost. Needless to say their was a lot of shouting, and he said he didn't care that I was a long time customer. Then he started yelling at his cashier, because he told me initially he was going to try and give me the fried rice. I left all my food on his table and left without getting my fried rice nor my money back.. China City restaurant has lost my business for life. These restaurants need to realize they are in business thanks to the customer! Never again.

Pretty standard American Chinese food. If you like that kind of food (and we do!!!) you'll be satisfied. For $20 we usually get enough food for two meals each, my wife and I. They are sometimes very busy around dinner time and when I get told that food will be ready in 15 min I usually give it 20-25 and that is about right.

really good Chinese food in the area!! they are not he cheapest option but they are affordable. there rice is really good and their egg rolls arnt bad either! you get to grab your own sauces when you leave which we really love because we like a lot of sauce lol. and they are pretty fast for the most part. the only downfall is that they dont deliver . nothing in volo or around this area really delivers or the cut offs are at 120 and gilmer sooooo stupid for business ! start delivering you will make more money!!! but if you are driving around feel free to swing by here its good Chinese food!!

Consistently good food and service. Very fast most times and rarely is an order mixed up. This is our favorite place in the area.

My experience with the food here is 50/50. To start with the positive: the egg foo yong, and I got the pork, was good. There is a little zing that I can't put my finger on, but my taste buds enjoyed it. Also, I got the pork fried rice, same situation, there was a little twang that tickled my taste buds. The gravy for the egg, foo young was very thick, way too thick for my taste. So I used it sparingly, but it did add a little flavor. For the not too delicious items: the egg drop soup had virtually no taste. It was like hot water with a tinge of lemon. The crunchy noodles that came with it were decent, but without any flavor, it just didn't do it for me.The eggroll, is nothing to write home about. I absolutely love eggrolls! I didn't even finish this one, it really had mild consistency and minimal taste. Will I order from here again? Maybe. But I will stay away from the items that prove to have minimal to no taste.

I have been going here since it has opened. Never had a bad meal. I understand about the barrier that they have set up. I don't like it particularly, but if it protects the owner, and workers so be it. People have always been friendly. Love their House Special LoMain - beef, chicken, and shrimp.
