I don't understand the negative reviews. The tacos were outstanding, the salsa was very good. My wife ordered the shredded taco salad which was very tasty and perfectly balanced. A good pick for lunch!

The food actually tastes like authentic Mexican food. Imagine that, in Rockford! We ordered carryout and I had the El Pastor Tacos which were phenomenal! The tacos were overrunning with pork, pineapple, and other ingredients and the flavor was incredible. I've had authentic Mexican and Chilango's is the real deal. My better half had chicken fajitas and he was equally pleased with his, in particular the way the chicken was seasoned. We'll definitely order again and plan to make an in-person visit as soon as time permits.

Food is okay. The service in there has been somewhat slow. Particularly just getting noticed by the waitstaff despite not being busy and having a chime in the door. That being said I do understand that staffing is short these days obviously. That being said I don't have time to waste during my lunch break, so I won't be back soon.

I go there on my lunch break,I ordered 3 tacos and a drink. Tacos were mediocre and the price is outrageous for 3 tacos that weren't even up to par compared to a food truck. If you want to throw money away at half ass food, by all means enjoy. Last time visiting that place. Olivo Tacos sell 3/$5 these guys sell 3/$13 price gouging at its finest

We are so happy to have found this place! 5 stars! My husband and I just moved to the south side of town and are in the process of orienting and finding all new "go to" places. Yesterday I drove by and saw Chilangos and told my husband we should try it. So we did. And it was amazing! We ordered a steak burrito and a steak taco dinner. The steak was so delicious. The prices were great. We will absolutely be back and plan to share this hidden gem with everyone we know.

I was waiting on an oil change and wanted to find a place nearby to get lunch. Walked over to Chilangos. Nice staff. Clean restaurant. Delicious food.When trying a Mexican joint for the first time I get a veggie burrito. They fresh-grilled veggies (green pepper and onion) for it, which was a nice touch. And the seasoning in the rice was great. Served piping hot. The red salsa is key.

They shorted me on a taco dinner after ordering three and being charged three. I called to tell them they shorted me dinner and they proceeded to lie and tell me it was an order for two dinner. It's odd the dinner cost 11.50 and I was charged 39$ total. Never again will I give this scum business again.
