Came by for early dinner. Ambiance is fun and relaxed, service is great and food is between good and great depending on taste palette. In my opinion, this establishment is more on the authentic side for this type of cuisine. Certainly a good thing if that is what you are looking for and the portions are fair so a nice stretch for the buck. Tip, if you get chicken ask to prepare extra crispy. I will do that on my next trip.

Always great food and service here. They have $1 tacos on Tuesday and Thursday, which can't be beat! I also would highly recommend their nachos. The container they come in is HEAVY with how much meat and toppings they load in, it's the one place I usually run out of chips before the toppings. If you're seeking tacos I recommend the cabeza on corn with cilantro and onion.

The food here is amazing! It's hard to find genuinely authentic food. This place has lots of different protein choices that you won't find it other Mexican restaurants! The chicken here tastes just like it came right off your backyard, barbecue grill! We stumbled upon this place by accident and now it's a regular place for us to go

I have driven past these restaurant/ice cream shops and I have only done the ice creme part because I like those assorted ice cream bars once in a while so I decided to try the food. The menu is Mexican/chicken/sandwiches with sides basically and a huge cold treats menu on the entire back side. I decided that I would do the two piece chicken with two sides and an ice creme bar.I will admit that at first sight it screamed cafeteria looking food but lets see what we have here. The drum was on the dry side and bland, the thigh was a little moister so I tasted the skin by it self and it's bland not seasoned at all. The Mac and cheese was cooked to mush in a soupy bland cheese sauce that didn't really taste like anything and just texture for the most part. The biscuits were dry and on the hard side, hockey puck style. Grilled onions and a pepper was on the side with six warm corn tortillas so I guess I'm making like chicken tacos with geilled veggies which is what I did. Pretty much I ate the chicken/corn tortillas and threw the the rest away. The best part of the meal was the tequila ice cream bar with almond slivers, cold/tasty with a thick sticky texture and not at all like ice an cream texture.I'm not saying that the food was horrible but it was average bland cafeteria style unseasoned food and with that said I will stick to the cold treats because I have had them all over and enjoy them better.

I came back to try the grilled chicken and it is officially my favorite. Forget the tacos, get the grilled chicken. It's going to my new go to. I got the 3 piece ($7.95) which comes with 2 sides and tortillas. The 3 piece came with a leg, breast, and a thigh that connected to a wing. This was more than enough food for 1. I ended up sharing my platter. I choose the french fries and corn for my sides. The corn was soft and not your typical corn on the cob and the french fries were seasoned and crispy, just how I like em. Definitely try the grilled chicken, it is called chicken palace for a reason.

I was just looking around for a place close to work for lunch and happened upon this. These were some of the best tacos I've ever had. I'm always in search of great tacos and these are scoring as my favorite in the greater Milwaukee area. The meat had just the right amount of crunch on the outside but soft in the middle. The pork had a little spice, not the typical I usually get around here with the pineapple. The tortillas were nice and soft and soaked up all the goodness without falling apart. They were just like the ones I used to get in Vegas at the little mom and pop trucks. I didn't notice the restaurant being dirty like some of the other reviews I've read; I found it quite clean. I haven't tried their chicken yet but I got a 2 piece to try for lunch tomorrow so I may have to update when I do. I think this will be my new lunch joint when I don't pack my own!

Another quality Mexican joint in Waukesha. Sort of cool that they hang their hat on baked chicken. The chicken is nicely seasoned and there is an array of other things to eat. Great place to eat and it's always good to support our local joints!

This place came highly recommended by several Waukesha locals. I've tried it three times over the past few months and I cannot figure out why people like it.There is nothing special about the decor. It has the feel of an old fast food restaurant that was recycled into what it is now. Old oddly colored, cramped booths and tables. Pretty clean overall, but during one visit I swapped tables a few times before settling on a spot due to dirty tables. Strangely, each of the all three times I stopped in, no other customers were around. The employees were not overly friendly, nor were they very helpful. Maybe it was just me?! I asked questions during one of my visits and was met with a blank stare as the girl apparently didnt understand English very well. No smiles, no manners from any of the employees on any of my visits. Just business! I'd be a bit more accepting of this if the food was great....it was not!The first time I tried my favorite, a ground beef chimichanga. My food was given to me in a to-go box inside a plastic bag, despite the fact that I intended to eat it there. To eat your food, they give you super flimsy cheap plastic silverware. Made it really difficult to eat without destroying it. Taste-wise, I thought it was fairly bland and lacking cheese. I was willing to give it another try.Next time it tried ground beef tacos, slightly better. The meat was still kinda bland, but I experimented with a few of their salsas to add some flavor. I wanted to like this place, so I gave it one more shot.Third time, back to the ground beef chimichanga. This time even less flavor to the meat and same cheese shortage. Same crappy silverware. Same difficulty eating it. I tossed half of it. Throwing the towel in.If you order a drink here, they come in soda cans or bottles that are kept in a help yourself style display case. During two of my three visits, my soda was barely cold.I wont try this place again. 3 sub par attempts and I couldnt find what others had led me to. Plenty of much better mexican options in Waukesha.

Lets start off with I'm from California. This place is so far the closest to California Mexican food you can find. If you know of something better let me know. The one thing I didn't care for was the nachos. The nachos with fries would have been better. Asada tacos were tender and flavor was great. Chicken tacos were good. Chicken had great flavor and moist. Pork tamales had nice spice and the masa was moist which a lot of people normally over cook and mess up. Rice and beans were nice and flavorful. Jalapeños and onions were bomb! If you're in the area I strongly recommend you give them a try.
