First tip: If they can't spell "potato" correctly on the specials board, you should be wary. I haven't had a worse restaurant meal in a long time. I ordered a Reuben. The cheese was barely melted and the meat was unrecognizable. Maybe it was corned beef? But I've never seen corned beef in a patty type thing. Two bites and the rest I couldn't stomach. My son had chicken strips with were somehow burned and soggy at the same time. My daughter's burger was fine but bland and overdone. The fries were nasty as the oil was old.Avoid this place and just keep driving.

1st time I called in a pick up order, corned beef hash & eggs. 20 mins I go to pick it up and i have to wait for my hash, I thought okay, it takes while to cook sometimes-whatever. I get home and realize they cooked my eggs and toast immediately, and then forgot to cook my hash. Eggs were cold, and oily? (the best way I can describe it) toast was cold and soggy, hash wasn't even done completely because they forgot to make it until I got there & did it in a rush. Disappointed, but forgiven. Second time I called a couple times and no one answered so I walked in for a order to go, waitress(/cook) comes to take my order, I order a breakfast sandwich with my egg over-easy. She looked at me and said "you know they're gonna be shitty runny, right?" ... I was taken back to say the least. Incredibly unprofessional, I've worked in small diners before and never would even think about referring to my costumers food as shitty...runny. The only reason I'm not giving them 1 star is because my shitty runny egg sandwich still tasted good, and my cousin liked the food she got as well. Decent food I guess, theres a possibility I will do a third try because theres not much more restaurants to choose from in the first place. It will be my last resort, and I'll hope that waitress will no longer be there.

Great breakfasts, nice location and coffee as thick as oil...what else do you want from your local diner? Their lunch foods are ok too, but I prefer breakfast for brunch. Definitely a townie place, and I am more than ok with it...heck, I embrace it!

This was a place my boyfriend and I always wanted to stop by. Today was the day and I would have to say I'm disappointed.Pros: it is a cute place to go. The decor is similar to the retro diner. The atmosphere was up beat and the staff seemed friendly.Cons: the wait. We waited about 25mins after we were seated to get drinks. Then to order our food was the same amount. Now it wasn't busy, a group of college kids, us and an older couple. The waiter hung out by the service window the majority of the time that we were there. When the food FINALLY came my boyfriend got the chicken dinner.....was FROZEN. Fried chicken....crispy on the outside and FROZEN on the inside....wanted to flag the waiter but he never came by to check on us. He was no where to be seen! And the menu is OUTDATED. they didn't have half of what was on the menu. We waited 45 minutes for the bill (same group was still there waiting on their drinks and food). We were going to ditch with out pay, but we were better then that and left money on the table and walked out. Chatterbox, you need better management and better staff. Check on your customers to re fill drinks and how the food was. And to cook the food ALL THE WAY THROUGH.

This place is now closed because the current owners ruined the reputation of the establishment with poor quality of everything from service to the food itself. The only good thing they did was much needed minimal upgrading of essentials. If anyone has a desire to open their own restaurant and has the funds and the right personality, WR would greatly appreciate your efforts!

I ate at Chatter Box for the first time last week and enjoyed a nice breakfast with family. I enjoyed their country fried steak which came with hash browns, two pieces of toast, and scrambled eggs. The eggs were more like omelette style than a traditional scramble, but they were pretty tasty. Service was good--just one server until the lunch crowd arrived and a second person (perhaps the owner?) came in to help. The restaurant is very low-key and casual. Seems like there are a lot of regulars who come here for breakfast or lunch breaks. Great place for families to eat brunch. Portions are gigantic.

Beware! This is a cash only restaurant. It is not posted anywhere that I could find. If you don't have cash you must then use their ATM which will charge you $2.50, plus whatever your financial institution is going to charge you. The food is subpar. I had the BLT sandwich, which I believe used wonder bread. I also had the chili which was served lukewarm. Do yourself a favor and pass this one up.

My family has a cabin near by and eat here three times over the summer. On all three occations the service was horrible. On one occasion at least three tables sat and eat before we were served. The owner did not seem to concerned about the very poor serivce. This is a breakfest place that cannot figure out biscuits and gravy.
