Cedar Valley Cheese Store

Stopped by whatever cheese store I could find on Yelp because I happened to be in Wisconsin and who doesn't want to snag some cheese when you're in Wisconsin? The place is so cool. So many cheeses to choose from along with snacks that pair with cheese. There's also ice creams and fudge towards the back and non-cheese items you can buy, like a souvenir shirt or kitchen stuffs. A great stop

Really like this store as a great place to pick up some great sting cheese... I think it's the best around!They also have a little deli and ice cream counter in the business. Because this is a "cheese shop" we decided to try their fried cheese curds. Got them "to go" so we could munch on them in the car. They were served with a small cup or marinara. Have to say that I was really let down with my curds. You would think that a cheese factory store would have remarkable fried cheese curds? Not today! Maybe they usually are good.... But the dish we were served was filled with tiny little pieces. Literally the size of a fingernail or smaller. Some were so small they didn't even have cheese in them! I'm sure my order was scraped out of the bottom of the bag. They should have been scrapped, but I'm sure some young kid fry cook didn't know better. String cheese was good however!

Driving back from Elkhart Lake, I decided to stop here and check it out. I expected a lot of cheeses, but I didn't expect sausages, a Cedar Crest ice cream counter with at least 12 flavors, a gift shop, and a cafe with fresh made sandwiches!The place wasn't packed, but they were busy. I was still full from brunch or I would have ordered one of the sandwiches. Instead I opted for the WI Sampler, which includes 2 mozz sticks and a 1/2 pound of cheddar cheese curds amd 1/2 pound of pepperjack cheese curds. I could use ranch, marinara, or I think southwrst ranch. I chose marinara which I learned that day is perfect for mozz sticks but only ok for cheese curds. In the past, I thought cheese curds were great with marinara, but now I know the truth due to the side by side comparison. :) Anyway, check this store out!

If this place doesn't have what you're looking for it would be unheard of. So much cheese and sausage and other yummy Wisconsin delights. Big inventory worth a few miles off of the highway.

One of my favorite places. Cannot recommend this place enough. To start, the store sells not only cheese, but also dips, meats, ice creams, and a ton of other items. I love how they sell samplers of their sliced cheeses. I like being able to but a smaller amount of I want to. I also love their $1 cheese sticks! They're massive, but so fresh and tasty. My favorite part is the cafe, with their soups, sandwiches, and cheese curds of course. I opt for a cold sandwich (but you can get them hot too) with cheese and veggies. Everything is so fresh and homemade. Amazing. Definitely recommend coming here for a meal, and to stock up on yummy treats!

What a fun cheese shop! We were on our way back to the airport and needing some curds to take home with us. This place was right on the way between Green Bay and Milwaukee and not far from the freeway.Parking was easy, and if we'd had more time and space in our bags, I'd have loved to explore the many spreads, dips, sauces, and sweets they offered. They also had a great selection of local meats and cheeses, including a variety of cheese curd flavors. I settled for the Cajun, yellow and white curds, and headed to the counter with a longing look at the ice cream stand that was busy serving up scoops despite the chilly weather out.The curds were pretty good. Not made day of kind of fresh but still really freakin good. I had to resist eating them all. It's definitely a great spot to stop for the most important of Wisconsin souvenirs.. Cheese!!

If you can only buy one kind of cheese, you gotta get the (regular) string cheese. I am horribly lactose intolerant but I will take a bunch of lactaid just so I can eat string cheese from this place. We buy so much whenever we visit Sheboygan to bring back as presents for friends and fam. Folks are friendly, the cheese is amazing, and get some ice cream while you're shopping around for more snacks (the eggnog flavor is particularly delicious).Anyway. (regular) string cheese is where it's at. The smoked string cheese is nice too, but I feel like it's so smoky and strong that you gotta stop at one. Whereas the regular? I can eat three in one sitting and want more .

Coolest cheese shop with seemingly hundreds of cheeses along with meats, ice cream and a little deli. We ended buying the string cheese and do not regret that. It is the stringiest cheese ever. We also got honey ham sticks that were so good, sweet and could eat so many of them! We got some Mac and cheese at the deli and grabbed a cup of strawberry cheesecake ice cream before heading out. Would go back again next we are in WI. The staff was also super nice
