I was invited to dine at Cedar Lodge for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The bride is from the area and coordinated the dinner for about 20 people. It felt like home upon entering, friendly faces and the brides family knew most of the wait staff. The interior reminded me of up north/cabin like. The space is quaint and intimate. We we're divided into 3 table near each other given our parties size. They were staffed well, our table of 5 had two servers checking on us often. The menu had old school supper club vibes, with each entree you had your choice of soup, salad, AND potato(it's been a while since I had to make soo many options for dinner )! I opted for the strawberry soup-served cold, salad, baked potato, and chicken tenders. All meals come with a warm cinnamon sugar fritter before the meal. The strawberry soup, was amazing and perfect for a June evening! They also bring a basket of fresh baked bread and muffins with the soup which were delicious. Others in my group had steak, stir fry, and frog legs. Everyone enjoyed with no complaints! By the time we left every seat was taken! I'd definitely return again!

Strangest restaurant procedure ever! We had a reservation and walk in the door they hand us a menu to order. Thought it was a drink menu so I set it back down on the bar. The manager hands it back and says "you gotta order your food here." Tried to order our dinner from the bartender and he looks at us like a deer in headlights and says, "I don't take food orders". Literally exactly what the manager told us to do. Several minutes later a server comes to take our order for food. Still didn't get sat at our table. No idea how a person is supposed to know that you just stand there and wait. The bar staff looked at us like we had a third eye on our forehead because we didn't understand the weirdness of their procedures. I'm afraid that I'm going to have to go down in some dungeon and and pay a peg legged pirate in pieces of silve

Best Steaks seasoned and cooked perfectly to perfection. Try their Prawns, they are huge and scrumptious. All of their soups are delicious but it's a must to give their Strawberry soup a try. Delightful! Service staff are always watching and occasionally ask if there's anything else we need. It's a small restaurant so people stand close to each other patiently waiting for their table to be ready. It's well worth the wait and their drinks are great!!!

You do get a lot of food. We went for an early dinner on Saturday night. Arrived at 430 and restaurant already full, but we were given a table for two. So no wait for us. The food was ok. I had the prime rib special and husband had the tenderloin which he said was very good. My big complaint was that the food came fast, not giving us a chance to finish an item before the next thing came. And we are fast eaters. I was about 1/3 way into my French onion soup when entree arrived. Bummer....I wanted to finish my soup. We were in and out of the restaurant in about 45 minutes. Phew! Fritter, salad, soup, and entree. I think they can compete for quickest turn over of tables for a supper club. I guess that is why they can tell people that a wait for a table is about 45 minutes. (Btw...the bread basket consisted of 1 each, slice Italian bread, chocolate chip muffin, and dinner roll. I guess the two of us were expected to split each). Anyway, it certainly wasn't a relaxing Saturday evening dinner.

After a few hiccups many years ago, which caused us to stop going for the longest time, we started returning again about five years ago and glad we did. Prepare for it to be crowded and busy. Chances are you will wait for a table, so get your name in right away and then enjoy a cocktail at the bar. Old fashioneds are my choice. Bar service is always excellent. Before you know it you will be handed a menu while still at the bar and then a waitress will come to you and take your order before you sit down. This is old school supper club procedure. You will then be told where your table is when it is ready. We never make reservations and rarely wait more than 45min to an hour, which gives us time to have a cocktail and relax.Come hungry because you will get a lot of food. Most full dinners include a yummy fritter (or fruit) for starters, a basket of rolls and muffins, soup AND a salad, along with a potato choice with your entree. Everything we've had here has been good, but my tenderloin last visit was excellent! It prompted me to write this review. It was perfectly done, I barely needed a knife to cut it. Their menu is large, you will have a choice of steaks, seafood, pasta, even frog legs. I've also enjoyed scallops, salmon, and a cajun pasta to name a few.Definitely is a small town vibe here, and you will feel welcome the second you walk in the door. Tip - women, leave your purses and even coats in the car. It's so crowded that I find they are just in the way, and you can't always get a seat at the bar.
