Casablanca

Went here for my birthday dinner and it was great! Got a free shot from the bartender and a hookah which a great touch to the girls night out! I got the chicken tahini pasta which was okay. I also tried some of my friends spinach artichoke dip and felt like it was also ok. The drink also didn't taste that strong either. However the stuff and ambiance of the place was good! They also gave me a free dessert as well which was so sweet!

Even though I have a collection of bookmarks for Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurants I want to try, I rarely partake due to the amount of dishes containing items I won't eat. I recently got out of my comfort zone and visited Casablana for dinner. I ended up ordering the Baked Lamb because it required no modifications.The Baked Lamb is shredded, marinated lamb on a bed of basmati rice with a side of homemade yogurt. I tried the yogurt, but didn't end up using any of it. Both the lamb and rice had good flavor. I wasn't expecting the lamb to be shredded; rather, I assumed it would be something I'd have to cut like with a knife. I feel like you get a good amount of both, but I wouldn't get it again.I wanted to try beef shawarma and a chicken kabob and asked if those could be added as an upcharge for $5 each like you can do if you order a salad as your meal. To my disappointment, I was told no, that the only way I could get those was to order the combo plate for $23 on top of the $25 meal I already ordered. Seems dumb.

Mediocre is probably the best word i can use to describe this restaurant. From food, to atmosphere, to service - it is all mediocre. We started from appetizers (which btw, have nothing to do with any Mediterranean cuisine) which were the oiliest things i have tried eating before. The taste was 2-3/5 at best.We decided to go with the Steak Tahini Pasta and the Shawarma Platter and both were so underwhelming, it was kinda sad. The pasta sauce was bad and no Tahini. Thankfully the waitress advised that we add cajun seasoning to the pasta which was literally the only saving grace to this pasta - the steak it self was not bad.The shawarma on the other hand was DRY and poorly seasoned. The rice was sticky and the "salad" was just tomatoes and onions and saddens. The only reason im giving this place a 2 stars is the outdoors seating. It is nice setting outside even though they didn't take care or maintain the patio at all.I dont think we will ever be back here unfortunately. And i would advise staying away if you actually want a Mediterranean food.

I would give the ambiance here a 10/10! Love the vibes of this place, very chill! Service here was fairly quick and staff was helpful with choosing drinks!

I enjoyed the vibe of this restaurant - nice place but still casual. The spicy chicken jabneh rolls as an appetizer were really good, definitely recommend. The service was friendly but not super attentive at times. The only downside was as it got later. the music kept getting louder which made it feel more like a bar. It was on a Saturday night so it may turn into a bar and just wasn't aware. Otherwise totally recommend and will go back.

If I could give it 0 stars,I would. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. Our server never checked in, and it took 50 minutes to get our food, even though the restaurant wasn't busy, literary just us, a table of 4. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and incredibly disappointing. The pita bread was literally frozen, and the lentil soup was so watered down it was practically flavorless. On top of that, everything was overpriced, making the poor quality and service even more frustrating. We also had to get up and go to the bar ourselves to get drink refills because no one came to check on us. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The service was very slow and we couldn't understand nothing that the waiter was saying got our order wrong brought everybody food but one person at the table ambience was fine but the music was trash. We even tried to request a song and they said they couldn't play anything requested. Food is overhyped. I give this 5/10

So came in to Casablanca cause it has been the winner of best middle eastern food for years. And now I know why. You walk in and first thing you're greeting warmly, and the aesthetics of the location is beautiful. Order the Sabanak stuffed chicken and it was amazing with that Saffron sauce over it just feels so comforting and the portions are great a must visit and try

When walking into a middle eastern restaurant you expect the food to be rich in taste and at least taste similar to middle eastern food. This is just colonized food w barely any salt. Worst hookah I've ever had.
