Carnicerias La Rosita

I've been here a handful of times and I'm able to find the items I'm looking for to make the meals my family enjoy over the weekend. We'll stocked with all the Mexican candies , drinks , and meds as well as rompope and chicharrones , they also sell tamales and they are really good! The parking can be a problem but nothing bad it's downtown Crystal lake so there's parking near and 1 hour parking everywhere. I've gone early on the weekends and it's not been bad. It's small store but clean and full of items , they also have meats for sale and decent prices! The employees are nice , there's also barbacoa , and carnitas made fresh everyday! And they have pork fat for sale for those tamale making seasons coming up! Ok byeeeeeeieeiie!

The carnitas are delicious but the store itself is very over priced. Since it's hard to find Mexican stores around here I'm sure it helps but even basic provide you can get anywhere is priced high and not necessarily the best quality.

There is a restaurant inside this grocery store! We ordered one Chicharron Gordita and it was very spicy! The texture of the meat was a little different but tasted good. We also ordered two steak azada tacos which we devoured. Very good food at affordable prices. Nothing fancy but quick and friendly service. Warning: no cups of water. Go next door to cool your palette with ice cream!

Is this a place you bring a date to? No, because it's a carniceria! But aside from the casual ambience, this is a place you have to try for some delicious burritos! It's much cleaner inside here than some other local carnicerias. Big potions, great flavors, and fresh ingredients are three overwhelming reasons why you need to stop here. We took a chance because we had some restaurant.com vouchers.My wife had the alpastor burrito and I had the azada chorizo burrito. Both of these were delicious and we agreed we would order them again. The horchata here was good as well, not too sweet, and not to light.We're definitely coming back here and hope to shop the market portion as well.

Been here a few times and the grocery area is ok; but the food- very disappointing to say the least! Over priced for the quality and quantity. Horchata tasted like powder. Churros were decent

I am familiar with La Rosita Taqueria in Mt. Prospect, so when I found this one literally around the corner, I had to check it out. I have no idea if they are connected, but the vibe and quality of the two locations are exactly the same. There is no doubt that La Rosita has the most authentic tacos and burritos in the Crystal Lake area. Like others have said if you are visiting the brewery when the taqueria is open, there is no better combination.Plus you have an authentic grocery store attached!

I was hoping to like this place. I ordered two two taco plates. Total came out to $30 and change. I thought that was a bit pricey so I asked how much it was per plate and was told it was $1.99 for rice and $1.99 for beans. So after doing the math I was indeed over charged. I also left a tip. The tacos were not good, barely any meat, and the steak was of poor quality. The rice was mushy and had tons of black pepper in it. Unfortunately, I will not be back.

Food was fantastic. You can't go wrong with a drink. They had the best service I've had at a restaurant in years. Everyone was so kind and the atmosphere was so relaxing. We got the steak tacos, Barbacoa tacos, and quesadillas as well as got to try all three of their drinks and everything was great 11/10 rating. Thank you!

They raised their prices, and the food quality has gone way down. They're rude and don't appreciate their customers. They should be thankful to have a business. Will never go back!

I liked what I ordered from their kitchen. They have seatings for dine in. Thing is I went there to buy some cooked food from the counter to take home to my family but it was empty. Not sure if they closed that section down or just closed early (around 5pm). I didn't bother asking as they were busy with other customers. I'll be back to try something else as well as food from the counter.
