I ate here last week for my birthday. Although they were very understaffed, I felt that the mother daughter duo did the best they could to make sure that we were set a table and served. My husband and I both got the steak and shrimp and it was delicious. However, my steak was well done rather than medium well so the next time I go, I will order my steak medium. The place has very comfortable feel, and it was clear from the large dogs wrestling upstairs that the owners live on the premises. The prices were very reasonable, so I will definitely return.

Had to wait an hour for two people, luckily we found a bar stool until we were able to be seated. The waitress was upbeat and jovial. I had the 24 oz. prime rib and it was a great cut and cooked the way I wanted. Smothered in aus jus and a side of horse radish made this meat disappear pretty quick. I had the soup of the day which wasn't anything special and a baked potato which also hit the spot. Nice ambience.

The best restaurant I have been to in Beaver Dam. I have eaten here 20+ times with family. Always good food and great service. 2 nights ago they were out of vegetable of the day, sub onions and mushrooms for my prime rib. If you are going to be in the area stop in for the near food in Dodge county. Always a great time.

I just went to this place for the first time and it was an exquisite experience. The staff is super friendly and the food was spectacular. To start off, my fiancée and I had their crab rangoons, which were probably the best crab rangoons I've ever had. My Fiancée had the Walleye (Friday night fish fry), she said it was very fresh (clearly never frozen). I had the Lake perch which was also very good. Overall, the establishment is a one of a kind and clearly stays true to themselves, especially in a time where PC culture is trying to take over. Well, not at Cantafafio's, this place is very military friendly and the hostess was awesome too.

First timer here. My husband and I always ride by this place and they're always closed due to staffing issues but this day they were opened so we gave it a try. Walking In people looked at us as if we were outsiders, I smiled said hello but got stares instead so I knew right away it was a place for the locals in that particular area. We ordered our dinner from the bar and asked the waitress if we could let her know when she could put the ticket up because we wanted to have a couple of cocktails at the bar before going back which she agreed but fifteen minutes later our food was on our table . We headed back to be seated and right away we both looked at our meals and the presentation and knew it was gonna be bad. My prime rib (king cut) was fat and the meat was so tough I couldn't chew it so into my napkin it went. My husbands steak (filet) was cut into two pieces which is unheard of especially for their price $$$ he took one bite threw his napkin on top and said "I'm not paying for this " I felt bad for him because he wanted to celebrate an accomplishment. We explained to our waitress,tipped her and left. Some people may enjoy the food and ambiance and that's fine but we won't be returning. No one came and apologized even on our way out nothing.

Enjoyed this place immensely. They appeared to be understaffed, but that seems universally true. The bar was good, the servers friendly, and the brandy old fashioned very good. Had a new item on the menu, the medallions, very good, the candied Brussels sprouts were a little past their prime. As a first time visitor they gave us a free desert, a nice touch.I would go back!
