We've been customers in the past, but the owner was very rude and unreasonable. We won't be back.

Love Cannery. Great craft beer selection. I'm always able to find brews here that you just don't see other places. They've got a very small build a six pack cooler. A good variety of bomber bottles. Good selection of wine and spirits also. My husband brews beer, so it's nice having this place w/in about a half hour of Beaver Dam. He orders most of his stuff online, but there have been a couple of times he realizes he's missing something, so we make a quick run to Cannery to pick up whatever he needs. They also do tastings quite frequently and I've even been in there when they've had a brewing class going on. I wish we lived a little closer, I would stop in for those events. I highly recommend this place, especially to craft beer lovers and homebrewers.

I hope plenty of people know about this place so it doesn't go out of business. They have all sorts of supplies for making beer and wine (I don't make either, so I probably can't really judge, but it sure seems like a lot of stuff). There are coolers with lots of specialty cheeses and way more packaged liquor than I expected. Everything is a little more expensive than the grocery store, but this is a small independent business, so that is to be expected. For people who want to keep their money local, it is a very small price to pay (literally, a couple of dollars here or there). The aisles are narrow and the bottles are right on the edges of the shelves, which makes my clumsy self nervous, but they just had lots of booze. Not as big as the liquor warehouse on the west side of town, more like what you'd expect a regular grocery store to have.I have only been in here a handful of times, but the person behind the counter has been *very* nice and courteous (unlike the liquor place I mentioned earlier). There is parking behind the building and you can usually get on-street parking in front.

This is a hidden gem. I met with Joe, the owner, and he is trying to build a niche shop, which is very exciting. Awesome small (but growing) whiskey selection. Nice respected wine labels. Wine tastings are available at scheduled times. This place has potential, and Joe's attitude is right where it should be. I can't wait to see how this progresses. 5 stars for the attitude and potential.

This is a great place for downtown Sun Prairie. Wine and beer tastings are available at scheduled times, take advantage of these. The owners are friendly and serious about their products and customers. The store also offers supplies for beer and wine making. We're lucky to have them so close.

Do not shop here. Rude worker and owner asked me to pull my shirt over my nose because I didn't have a mask and they did not offer one unless I paid for one. Kind of stupid that they would sell me a mask while I'm maskless, but not alcohol without a mask. Anyway I choose to walk out and take my business to another store that does not enforce masks and happily took money out of their pockets. Best decision ever.

After reading the reviews I stopped in. We wanted to pick up a couple beer making kits. The selection for one gallon mixes was limited to about 5 for 6 selections, 4 of which were IPA's. When asking the staff about recommendations and tips we were promptly informed they do not drink beer or wine and didn't like either, and they walked away. I was hoping for more assistance from a location that sells raw ingredients and offers classes on beer making. We picked up 2 kits and headed home. The worst part was when we got back home, we noticed one of the kits had expired 6/2016. Nearly a year past expiration, the yeast would probably not have even worked. We went back to the store within minutes of noticing the date on the unopened box. We arrived back at the store and stood waiting about 2 minutes before the single employee was done with their smoke break. When we brought the expired kit up to the clerk we were told that it could not be returned due to "The Law". When pressed for why a defective good could not be returned we were again told "Its the law". For a local business, which we love to support, the customer service felt very impersonal. There are no regulations on preproduction alcohol kits. We had to argue to be refunded the $15.I will definitely give them a second try, but considering Madison has some great local brew shops, driving the extra 15 minutes may be less of an inconvenience.
