I love Camp Bar for the cozy comfortable atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks. I came here recently for an after-dinner nightcap and a game of cribbage. I love how they have it decked out for the holidays. It's their annual Santa Camp, which includes festive decorations, Christmas lights galore, and a holiday inspired cocktail menu. We were here on a Sunday evening and we easily able to find a table to sit, enjoy our cocktails, and play some cribbage. After we were done playing our game, we were also able to find a comfy spot by the fire to enjoy the remainder of our cocktails. The cocktails themselves were just ok. I think if you like vodka drinks or cocktails on the sweeter side---this would be a great spot. Also, if you tend toward beer at bars, they have a decent draft list. I tend toward classic whiskey cocktails and interesting mixology--which Camp Bar isn't really all about. That said, I'll keep on coming here for the comfort and casual coziness. And, of course--the holiday vibes in November and December.Get to it!

This bar feels like being at home for a little redneck like me. Quirky decor but I think it's fun! The bartender who helped me was so nice. I went on a Saturday and it was packed but they were so quick to get me a drink.

I love this camp bar I've been to all three of them. They are super fun, this was is especially good. Usually they get packed and it can be hard to get a bartender. They were super great at this one. The bartender Sabrina was fantastic, she was easy to get the attention of and she was a vibe. Will definitely come back to this spot.

We came here last night and the decor is so cute! Perfect place for a holiday bar crawl. They have a ton of fun drinks on their menu, however, I didn't try any since the place was swamped and it definitely seemed like the bartenders were very busy. I didn't want to make them go through the ice cream drinks, but if I go back I'd like to try those.I got the old fashioned and it definitely was one of the better old fashioneds I have had! They also have the great lakes Christmas ale which is one of our favorites, a pro tip would be to do a sugar rim with it though, that's how they do it at the brewery! Overall a fun place to go, great decorations, fun drinks, but be careful it gets super busy and crowded!

Came here on a Saturday and it was packed. And noisy. For the amount of people they did not need to have the music that loud. We could barely hear each other at our table. Drinks were tasty, but took a while to get there. Tator tots were a little untraditional, and our table of 6 universally agreed that we would likely not order again. The pretzel was average, if not a little salty. I think it might be a fine bar if it was at about 80% capacity. I think it was more like 125% capacity which made it tough to enjoy each other's company.

This is a solid little bar in the heart of the Third Ward, and I'd been wanting to try it for a while when my girlfriend and friend and I decided to go here after catching a show at ComedySportz a few blocks southwest of the place. After taking a second to find some parking (parking in the Third Ward is one of the biggest headaches in Milwaukee, I swear), we entered the bar and were all carded on entrance by a bouncer before looking around and getting a feel for the place--there's two ways you can enter the bar from the entrance, with a longer, more 'open' area to the left and a smaller, more compact space to the right. We ended up choosing the spot to the right, as there were more tables open along the wall, and the décor was cozy and warm. There's a large fireplace along the far wall, and there are comfy leather sofa chairs situated around it, something we would've taken advantage of if they weren't already occupied. We took a high table instead, and two of us ordered at the bar while the third stayed with the table. The bartender was nice but seemed a little frazzled--the place was packed that night, and they seemed understaffed, with only one bartender behind the bar and one guy bar-backing. Our side of the bar was completely full, and it took a few minutes to get our drinks, but the mixed drinks the bartender made were extremely strong (in a good way) and worth the money, and I just got a Spotted Cow, a boring but steady Wisconsin classic. We spent another hour in the place, and most of it was passed just talking amongst ourselves or people watching--there was a wedding party that came in soon after midnight, and they definitely livened the place up, starting a chant at one point and bouncing around the entire left-side section. The crowd definitely skewed younger and more 'young professional,' and I wonder if it's like that every night of the week (we went on a Saturday night). The décor is what makes this place though--there are a lot of cool taxidermied animals (I know that can be polarizing for some people, so if you're not into being in places with that kind of stuff, this isn't the place for you honestly, as there's a LOT of stuffed animals; I'm not a hunter and generally tend to be one of those people normally, but if it's done in a tasteful way and not just some 'Look! Here's a bear I shot and now I'm going to make it into a rug and waste the rest of it!' kind of thing, I can appreciate it), and the walls are made to look like a log cabin. The whole place felt cozy, and the large fireplace added to the ambiance and made it more chill than the other side of the bar, something us non-college-age folks appreciated. We'll be back to check out what this place is like during the day for a Packers or Bucks game, and, based on the amount of TVs they have lining the walls and the reasonable prices of the drinks, that doesn't seem like a bad idea.

Recently visited Camp for about the millionth time with my husband. It's always been a fun spot. However this time didn't go so well. I enjoy taking my dog out with to places that are pet friendly. I always do my research before taking him just to be sure the places I visit are pet friendly. If they aren't then he doesn't go. Simple. Online it states Camp was pet friendly. So we walked in with our pet and are immediately greeted by a not so friendly bartender and with the immediate question of is your pet a service animal. I found that to be confusing since it states they are pet friendly. However she rolled her eyes at us and we promptly left. I highly recommend not going on a Sunday with your pet unless you want to be greeted by a rude bartender.
