So I've been waffling on updating my review, but this has come up in conversation with multiple friends SO MANY TIMES that it must be updated. I still contend that this place is fantastic, the wine is good, and the pizzas are excellent. Staff is still super friendly and relatively attentive. They slightly modified their Wednesday special, but it's pretty similar. However, it doesn't really matter if you're never able to enjoy or take advantage of said wine, food, or deals. Their hours are entirely not conducive to the average human being. They close at 8pm, and every time I've come here we are essentially "kicked out" (they never actually kick us out per se, just indicate that they're closed/closing and bring us our check). By the time you get off work, get home to take care of any pets/children/family etc, you're already crunched for time before they close. Heaven forbid you actually have a class or appointment in the afternoon first. In the past two months alone, we've wanted to come to Cambridge Winery but had to opt for a different option THREE TIMES because people's schedules couldn't get them out until 6:30 pm ish. And this has happened multiple times throughout 2022 as well. AND this is not just with one or two friends, but with multiple different friend/co-worker groups. It's a rare occasion we can all get our schedules to fit with Cambridge Winery's limited schedule. Alas, this is the reason for my downgrade in review. It's not accessible, so all the good it has to offer is rendered moot. That said, if you can get to the winery early, I still highly recommend it.

What a cute little winery! Love this addition to the Whitney Way neighborhood. I went with one of my friends we both got a wine flight (I got white she go red). Both of us liked the wines and were able to find one that we wanted to order a glass of. We also got some food, perfect for pairing with our wine. This place is in a very convenient location in Madison, if you like wine give it a try!

Hand down best winery in Madison. If you like quality dry red wines, this is the place for you!! The wines are fantastic for fellow dry wine lovers like me! They grow their California which produces some of the best wine (in my opinion). My personal favorite is the 2016 Cab Reserve. I also really enjoy the 2015 Cab. They also offer flights, white wines, and sweeter wines if you're into that. The ambiance is great! They have an outdoor patio and a cute bar area. It's super trendy and modern inside. It has lots of big windows that lets in beautiful natural light as well. The staff and owner are extremely friendly! They give excellent service every time. I absolutely love coming to Cambridge!!

We ordered pizza with our flights. Unfortunately the pizza tasted like a frozen one . All the cheese wasn't even melted . Wished it was a little crispy .wine was ok. But I ended up with a beer

While in Madison, I visited the Cambridge Winery Tasting Room. Intimate, quiet, and cozy atmosphere with friendly staff full of wine knowledge. The tasting was a great selection of wines grown from local and non-local grape varieties. My favorites were the 2016 Petite Pearl and the 2014 Syrah.

I can't say enough amazing things about this place. The staff are extremely knowledgeable about their wines and different grape varietals. My wife and I have been coming here for years and always enjoy the atmosphere and vibe. The Cabernet Reserve is to die for and the 2017 is set to be released very soon. We have been enjoying the 2016 for the last 3 years and are excited for the new release. If you want good wine, great company and an amazing atmosphere...look no further!

After being at Drumlin Ridge this place is a real disappointment. Not only were the wines just OK but the place is just a wine bar stuck in the middle of the city.I get it that people aren't going to drive out to Cambridge winery so bring the wines to them but they could have picked a better location and not make it like any other bar. With the Packer game on the background we tasted some of their wines except for the very good ice wines the others were forgettable. Not a great experience - we've been to wineries all over the country and this was one of the poorest.

Another innovative Madison-area disruptor: For wine lovers. Top vintage from Wisconsin and California offering all categories of Reds to Whites. Best of all, my favorite: their fantastic genuine local Ice Wine, and not from Niagara Falls / Toronto, Canada! Great to have right in my Greentree / Orchard Ridge neighborhood.

Wow. This place was an unexpected surprise! I googled "madison wine tastings" and couldn't find any taking place last night. Somehow I found myself on the yelp page for the Cambridge winery tasting room. I had seen the sign for this place on the non-descript building and had always been curious about it. I mean, it's a building that houses insurance and looks like a dentist would be at home in it. It just doesn't seem like the place to go for wine tasting. But don't let the building fool you. Once you walk in, your eyes are greeted by a clean, cozy, and sleek environment. The bartender quickly greeted us when we sat at the bar and asked if we had been there before. We told him we hadn't and he explained about the tastings or wines to order by the glass or bottle. We decided to do the tasting. I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the quality of these wines! I normally don't spend much on wine (I'm a $10 and under a bottle kind of girl unless it's a special occasion). However, these wines will be worth splurging on. The bartender noticed how much we enjoyed the tasting and told us about their wine club. What a great club to join as an awesome excuse for why I "have to" buy wine every month! There are two tiers to the club and we chose the highest tier. I agree to buy 2 bottles minimum a month (or 12 over 6 months) and in return we get one full tasting a month or glass of wine a month for myself and a guest, I get 20% off all bottles of wine, happy hour pricing all the time ($1 off glasses), invitations to special events, and merchandise discounts. The bottles range from $18-49 with the average price point around $30. I'm excited to try some new wines and to have found such a relaxing, classy place to sip a drink. This place is the real deal!I also want to mention that the bartender was amazingly informative while managing to never sound pompous or condescending as he told us about the different varietals. Just very interesting and made us want to learn more.I highly recommend!

a small group was starting out at Cambridge winery for a girls weekend. I call in advance to make reservations for the friday night fish fry. when making reservations I told them we would be going to the Madison tasting room. when on the road going to Madison we where stuck on the highway because of an accident. I called and told them what was happening and we are still coming but didn't know long we would be sitting on the freeway. we were about 3 minutes a head of time so all worked out. This is where it all started to fall apart. I explain we had reservations for dinner and that when the server said we don't serve meals here only in Cambridge. I explain I called and asked about the Madison Cambridge and made reservations and had even call when stuck on freeway. the server said she was the one who took the phone call from the freeway. Our group decided to try some wines and get some cracker and coat cheese. we ordered one of each sampler. the lady came and dropped off the one glass and the paper that told us about the wine. when we where done and ready for the next sample. we didn't get a new glass or old glass rinsed out. she just poured the next wine into the dirty glass. as anyone knows this will taint the flavor of the next wine. there was no barrel place to get ride of the wine we didn't like. the goat cheese was good, but server was rude and was on her cell phone the whole time we where there. We had to ask for our next wine in the sampler. We were very disappointed in this place. will not be back. I have been to many wineries and was never treated like this. Big mistake to the winery, one in our group is a big wine fan and orders cases of wines from different wineries we go to and it was the start of girls weekend. We would all have bought multiple bottles.
