Camacho’s Family Restaurant

I have passed by Camacho's Family Restaurant many times. Finally I decided to check Yelp reviews. Multiple reviews with a high rating. Am I glad I did. Friendly & courteous service, relaxing atmosphere and great food. I tried the chicken dinner. Oh my gosh was it good.C

Awesome! Haven't been here since it was the Crocus. Beautiful ambience. Can't wait to come back and hang in the bar. Ordered the Chilaquilles verdes con carne. Best I've ever had. Everything was perfectly portioned - and the flavor was intense. Great service. Regret not coming sooner.

It took me a little bit to review this place because I was debating upon the score. My husband and I went in there for breakfast and they didn't seem to have a bar menu for bloody's or anything like that. Then again, I didn't ask, so they might. Our server was new and was trying to understand the ordering system they used, so we don't fault the establishment for that. My husband and I each ordered a standard breakfast, except he got hashbrowns and I didn't. We both got sausage links, we he seemed to enjoy, but I didn't. Overall, the place was clean and neat and I'm not saying I wouldn't return, but I wouldn't go out of my way for the food. The prices were good though, if you're looking for a reasonably priced meal.

This place popped up a few moments ago and I have been waiting for some reviews and pictures to grow and it just never happened so I'm going to have to do a Steve stop by and check them out.The place looks fabulous like a fresh remodel with lots of wood and nice tables and chairs. They have a nice bar off the register and a cool glass block window that lets in light. Service was great because I had the whole place to myself for most of my breakfast. The menu is not super huge but it works. Steak and eggs is something I don't do often because it has a tendency of the over cooked steak but I craving one for a while. To my surprise the steak and eggs was only $10.15 for a 7oz steak which is probably the cheapest menu offering I have seen in a long time. I ask if it's grilled and can I get it rare and I'm told yes so that's what I ordered.My food didn't take long and it looked pretty good with the steak having nice grill marks but how was it cooked. My steak was cooked rare and it's exactly what you expect a breakfast steak to be from a family restaurant quality wise. The sourdough toast was ok and it was commercial quality bread but it's still my favorite. The eggs were cooked perfect sunny side up and the hash browns were cooked golden crispy.Overall my breakfast was decent and cooked to order perfect with friendly service so I can't complain.

Service was perfection on a quiet Saturday morning. Food was delicious - great thick cut bacon, amazing flavors. Ambiance felt family friendly with well spaced tables. Would return if on this side of town again!

Great new spot on the Southside... opens early for breakfast. Menu has a good variety of choices, typical family style restaurant items with some Mexican additions. I was there during the mid afternoon and was surprised there were 4 other tables with people. Nice full bar which is separate from the dining area. They did a great job remodeling the place as well. I just had the nachos which were decent. It's a tough time to open a new restaurant but they seem to be doing ok and following all of the guidelines. Service was good, food was fresh, reasonably priced, all you really want in a family restaurant. The also took over JoJo's chicken which is awesome and have Friday fish fires.... give it a go when you are in the area.Just a quick update, stopped in a couple more times. Once for breakfast which was fresh and delicious and also for a fish fry which was the same.

Great food, fair prices, and good service. We just got in from our flight and after a rough night at the hotel we weren't expecting much. However, to our surprise the food was amazing and we left very happy. The server did everything she could to make us feel at home which is especially difficult during COVID-19.

Very clean and friendly. Food is fresh and the staff is attentive. Had to stop here because of the acquisition of JoJo's! Love the food and decor and will be back for more.

They have a large menu with a variety of Hispanic and American items. The plates were loaded with delicious pecan pancakes, huecos rancheros and chopped steak and eggs! We left very full! The service was fast, friendly and helpful! Great place to go. Surprisingly no wait. This place should be swamped with customers. The service, food and prices are great!

Stopped in again for Saturday morning breakfast carry out and tried the skillet this time. Potatoes were packed with ham and bacon, enough food for two meals!
