I first tried a cupcake at Cake and Bake at a bridal show at Florian Park Conference Center in Germantown, WI. I tried a couple bakeries before finalizing, but I do no regret my decision in the least. Christine and her staff were extremely easy to work with and very accommodating when we had to decrease our order a month before the wedding. After an insane amount of compromising (hey, that's what marriage is all about right?) my husband and I decided on four flavors: carrot, French vanilla with Bavarian cream, Devil's food with chocolate cream, and apple spice with apple pie filling. Our guests inhaled them! Everyone raved about the carrot and apple since they were both fall-flavors for our fall wedding. Luckily we had an anniversary cake on top to cut so we were able to enjoy some a couple slices after the wedding too. The prices were extremely reasonable, which included a delivery fee and the cupcake stand rental. We've gone back a couple times to buy cupcakes they have available in their dessert case (the salted caramel is heavenly!)

My wedding cupcakes turned out amazing but the service I received from Kris was ridiculous. She was extremely rude and short with me. I went in for about 45 min to discuss some options talk with my fiance, came back with a decision and to make a payment (yes, give them my money) and it just seemed like to much work for them to take my order. It got to the point where I didn't even want to deal with them so I asked my mother to handle all further communication. If the cake wasn't so good I would have gone somewhere else all together. I am now coming up on my one year and would love to order my anniversary cake but dread having to go in there : (

I will say that the cupcakes at my wedding were really good, but I was very displeased on how my Mother-in Law and I were treated from the very moment we stepped into the shop. When we were trying to pick out what we wanted, it was almost as if she was rushing us out to get out the door. We had to pay for samples and then pick them up at a later date. When we got our samples, I brought them back for myself, my husband, my sister, and brother-in law to all try. We ALL thought that they were incredibly dry. I was ready to say no, but my Mother-in-law persuaded me into giving them a second chance. She called the company, told them that they were very dry and they stated that they would make another batch. I wanted to add one more cupcake to taste test and low and behold, they charged me for it. I thought that was ridiculous since we paid for the tastings to begin with and they turned out dry. Each time that I had any communication with the company, the woman was very short and rude to me. At one point, I felt like she was talking down to me and therefore decided that I would not have any further communication with her and requested that she just go through my Mother-in-law. They did a very nice job at the wedding with setting it up and everyone enjoyed the cupcakes. My Mother-in-law went back to bring back their stand and they again were incredibly rude to her and said that they she didn't bring back in the box they were left in and wouldn't take it back. There was also a small piece of frosting on one of the tears and they said that she would need to clean it and go back to the vendor to go get the box it was originally brought in. Well, she did just that to find out that there was no box left by the company. Our thought was, don't you clean it anyways before handing it to the next event? The entire time, they said that they would charge her for every day that the box was not returned... again, there was no box left. I feel that any bride and groom who is giving this company business should NOT be treated in the way that my family was. I would not recommend them to any bride and groom because it was nothing but stress and unprofessionalism from the very beginning.
