Cajun Big Easy wasn't bad, but you can find better bourbon chicken. It was a convenient meal since I was at the mall, and the free sample tasted good. The portion size was big for what I paid, and the staff answered all of my questions when I couldn't decide which flavor of chicken I wanted. If I'm in the mall and get hungry again, I'd go back. I wouldn't travel to the mall just to eat there though.

We ordered delivery because it was my Dad's birthday, and he loved Jambalaya...He would always make his own during the summer, and share it with the family. The celebration went well, and when the food arrived, we were more than happy to share the joys of times with dear old Dad

As shopping mall fast food goes, Cajun Big Easy is at the top of their game.Their signature "Bourbon Chicken" is outstanding. I also really appreciate the fact that they always have a number of (side) vegetable choices that are prepared simply but professionally; not over cooked and NOT over salted, which is so common with fast food locations in malls, a la Chinese and Italian fast food take-outs.

Easy? YesBig servings? YesCajun? Not so much.In the pantheon of Mayfair Mall food court cuisine, this is a solid choice: the food bar always seems to be full, there are some nice comforting side options that aren't exactly "fast food", and the bourbon chicken is pretty tasty. For a minuscule $.69, you should consider upgrading to the Jambalaya rice. That'll get ya just enough Zataran's flavoring to give you a hint of what Jambalaya should taste like, but without all of the tasty shrimp and andouille that it should have. It does go nice with the bourbon chicken. Again, not quite the same as you would find in Bourbon St., but for about $10 with a large soda for a huge serving of food, you could do worse.

When I'm at the mall, 9 times out of 10, this is the place I will go to to grab a bite to eat. I don't think that there is really anything Cajun or N'awlins about it, but the food is edible and consistent. The exception to that is the cornbread, but I haven't had a bad piece of that in a long time. It's actually been somewhat sweet and moist the last few times I've had it. I wish it were a little bit more of both, but it's mall food. I feel lucky to get it as is.I've only ever had the bourbon chicken because to me, it is just that good. It's on the sweet side, but not overly so. They always ask if I want extra sauce and I say yes. Trust me, you want the extra sauce; the dish will seem a little dry without it.I have mixed it up between the noodles, white rice and jambalaya though, and I have to say that the jambalaya wins. It's an additional $.69. I usually do 2 sides: mashed potatoes and corn but, I recently found out that you can get cornbread as a side. Cool, because that actually saves you a little bit of money over ordering one side and then a piece of cornbread. I think the gravy for the potatoes is very similar, if not the same, as the sauce for the chicken. It has a little tang to it, but in a good way. I can't get enough of it.Gourmet? No. Good enough to fill you up while you power shop? You bet.6/2016

Meh! Mall food. Glazed chicken, jambalaya rice and Mac cheeseThis pretty mediocre lunch. The chicken was very sweet. The food was at least hot. If you can't eat before you get to the mall and you're hungry give it a shot. Just don't expect miracles.

I used to frequent this establishment regularly many years ago and was excited to go again. Let me say that it was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had! Ordered Mac and cheese, potatoe wedges, and bourbon chicken. The Mac and cheese was basically cheese water with noodles and was inedible. The potatoes wedges tasted hard and dry and were also inedible! The bourbon chicken, which is always why I used to go had decent flavor, but every or he we piece was hard and not chewable. It was a very low quality chicken. I paid 14.25 for my meal and only ate a quarter of it

This is about the best mall foodcourt food that you will find. I love the bourbon chicken. The sides are pretty good too. Several tasty vegetables including green beans if you want to be on the healthier side. Raul has been managing the store for 26 years. He is very funny and cares about his business. They always actively provide free samples. Fresh and hot every time I've been there over the past 15 years.
