Stopped nearby for drinks and decided to come in for dinner and so glad we did. We were sat quicky in a loving dining room. A server was over quickly to see if we had questions which we did as we aren't really familiar with Indian food so we got recommendations for a starter and two entrees. All of it was delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Tonight as usual, the food here was tasty and ample. The five of us ordered four drinks, five entrées, and two sides. Our energetic server took our order without writing anything down (usually not the best move in a very busy restaurant on an exceptionally busy night). There was only a short wait for three of our four drinks to be delivered. However, it took two requests to get the fourth drink and some water. The entrées were delivered promptly, but only one side arrived. Again, a long wait and another reminder. Finally, even though there was a wait for tables, it took another 10 minutes to get a bill. This restaurant is one of my favorites, but management needs to look around the room and recognize when they need to step in and lend a hand to their very frazzled servers .

This spot came in handy as I arrived to Milwaukee after a long day, and at a hotel with no room service. Enter delivery right to my room of some tasty Indian food from this spot! One highlight here was the veggie samosa. It was so flavorful and loaded with potatoes. The naan was actually not my favorite; different texture than I usually see, and not a lot of flavor. I went basic and got the chicken tikka masala which was pretty good. The chicken was very tender and the sauce had a nice and mild flavor. More of a commentary for the delivery app, but I would loved the option to kick the spiciness up a notch. So without having actually been in this restaurant, I can safely say it's a good option to order delivery from. Hard to go wrong with Indian food on a chilly night.

This restaurant is a haven for anyone seeking an authentic and satisfying dining experience.**Ambiance:**The ambiance at Cafe Bar India Grill is both charming and lively. The decor beautifully blends traditional Indian elements with modern touches, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The colorful, vibrant interiors, adorned with cultural artifacts and artwork, set the perfect tone for a memorable meal.**Service:**Service at Cafe Bar India Grill is not efficient. They forgot to bring one dish that we ordered to our table and instead we saw that added on the bill. This was a big miss**Food:**The food at Cafe Bar India Grill is the highlight of the experience. Service - awesomeAtmosphere - hopping music, clean interiorFood - quite yummyAssorted Naan Basket $10All the naan was good, and the basket was huge!I can't say this was the best naan I've had, since I've had some really fresh, really good naan... but these were good.Small side salad $5It's not a spring mix, but cuts of cucumbers, carrots, onions sprinkled with a light dressing atop a light bed of shredded lettuce. Ok to share a small among 3 gals. Not exactly sure why, but the salad came out last, after all our food was out and we were 1/3 way into the meal. I'm not sure whether they forgot or just ran out of an ingredient...Channa Masala $13Garbanzo beans curry - goodTikka Masala $15Chicken curry - good, but chicken was dry. The 2 curries came with a bowl of rice (I think each comes with a bowl, but we got one - probably a bigger bowl than if it was for 1 serving). It wasn't a heaping serving, but enough to share among 3 people. Overall, all the food was good. Not overwhelmingly good, or the best I've had.. but good. Would I come again? Of course.

Overall I thought the food was good! I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant! The servers were super friendly and quick. I really liked the butter naan and tandoor chicken, and appreciated them making it spicy for my liking! The chicken tikka masala was okay but I'm definitely eager to try the other dishes as well!

I'm a big fan of chicken korma. It's one of my favorite dishes. But I admit that my perspective on Korma was limited. I'm the same way that a Mexican place may have their own twist on tacos, I think korma may be a similar thing. I've been both making and eating an onion based korma and Cafe India has a delicious tomato based version. The Saag Paneer, on the other hand, was exactly as I'm used to.The serving sizes were plentiful. The naan was tasty. The serving staff were friendly, but a little overly involved. The were about 7 people serving and or awkwardly standing around. There were about 5 active tables. It just made things feel a little stuffy. Cricket was playing on the television. How does that game even work?

Being away from my family from Diwali meant I had to get my Indian food fix from Cafe India, which was the right move. We got a takeout order of the veg appetizer platter, the gobi Manchurian app, and an order of malai kofta that came with a side of rice. Our food was ready by the time we got there. The restaurant was decorated for Diwali which was a beautiful touch. The staff was so nice and even threw in some traditional sweets for Diwali. The food is always great here and I have never been disappointed. The samosas were big and the dough was thick and both crispy and chewy. They didn't skimp on the filling, which was also very good. Other things in the appetizer platter included onion pakoras and aloo tikki served with an imli (tamarind) and a green chutney. Everything took me back home!We got both the gobi manchurian and the malai kofta at a medium spice level, which was appropriately spiced for our palates. The gobi comes with large chunks of onions and green bell peppers. While not authentic, it's one of my favorite dishes from Indian restaurants and cafe India does it right. The malai kofta is also one of the best in the city. The koftas are soft and the gravy is so creamy and rich, it'll have you licking your fingers clean!
