You can never go wrong at Cafe Corazon. This has been one of my favorite restaurants for years, and this visit did not disappoint. Bonus points for the 90s playlist we were rocking out to this day :)We had no wait at all to get a table, and they accommodated our party of several adults and two small children right away for a weekend lunch.I had the chilaquiles with chicken and salsa verde, which is my favorite thing on the menu. Flavor was spot-on and I like how they have both eggs and another protein in the dish (some places do either/or and that's just not complete to me). My dining companions enjoyed their quesadilla and huevos divorciados. The salsas here are excellent.

I came here because of the many vegan options, including a devoted vegan section of the menu that boasts 5 options. I got the vegan enchiladas ($13), which come with two enchiladas with a choice of protein -- I got soy chorizo for one, and tofu for the other. The dish comes with black beans and rice, or a side salad (+$3), and with a choice of red, green or mole (+$1) sauce -- I got the mole. The meal came out in about 10 minutes. The soy chorizo was prohibitively salty, almost to the point of being unpalatable. The tofu was less salty. But the mole sauce was also so salty that it made the soy chorizon even saltier and the tofu still too salty. I am not sure what happened here. Is this the norm, or do the chef's hand slip when dumping the salt in? Jeez -- they need to fix this. The rice and beans were fine, though nothing interesting. It's a nice spot and I appreciate all the vegan options, but my experience wasn't great because due to the hypertension-inducing meal.

Got delivery--Steak in burrito was not seasoned at all and there were big chunks of fat throughout. Felt pretty sick afterwards. I've dined here before and never had any issues. Definitely won't be getting the steak again.

A great vibe -- they have funky art and the servers are very kind. The food was ok, I got the shrimp tacos and the shrimp wasn't super seasoned or flavorful, but still yummy and definitely fresh. The salsa was delicious -- I added it to all my tacos.

Great brunch spot in Bayview. I had the Pig Out Torta which I would highly recommend. We sat at the bar and the service was outstanding. They also offer many vegan options and have a happy hour durning the week!

Cafe Corazon serves up flavorful Mexican eats in a quirky environment.Came here recently for dinner and had a great experience.First of all--love that they have salmon dishes on the menu. If you follow my Yelp at all, you know this girl pretty much orders salmon if a place serves salmon (living in the Northwest for many years made a salmon lover out of me). I ordered the salmon burrito. It was incredibly flavorful, with avocado, rice, and juicy salmon. Zero complaints--it was great! The service was attentive and the prices are reasonable. We were fascinated by all the religious art on the walls.Get to it!

I lived in Phoenix, AZ for 25 years subsequent to growing up in Wisconsin. I got spoiled by the numerous great quality Mexican restaurants on every corner, and searched for something comparable when I moved back last year.Cafe Corazón is a labor of love and pride. While not "authentic," they bring a new spin that caters to tradition, but also mixes the local preferences to deliver a unique and flavor result. The use of high-quality scratch materials is evident. Their salsa is so fresh it should have its own hip-hop album! I was very impressed with their Pibíl (also called Cochiníta). Very hard to find good Pibìl even in Phoenix. Wish no upsell for chips, but DAMN red salsa is worth it. You're a local GEM Corazón!! Keep shining!!
