Cafe Corazon gets 5 stars in my opinion. I've been there many times - usually 4 of us. The food prices are competitive and the portions are a little larger than what I would expect. As such, we usually go home with leftovers. The Burrito's are especially large. Their Margaritas are quite strong. They don't seem to "cheap out" on the Tequila.I usually visit during the warmer months when their outdoor area is open. The inside can get a bit loud because the restaurant isn't too big but that has never really bothered me. Perhaps that's why I like sitting outdoors.I've never experienced any service issues. Staff are always cordial, friendly and attentive.Lots of Mexican fare establishments in the Milwaukee area but this place has become our go-to when its Mexican fare we want.

Where I live, we are in a little bit of a dead zone for good Mexican food. Long gone is the dependable Dos Bandidos. I'm happy that Cafe Corazon opened the location on Bradley. It's pretty close to our house and has now become one of our go-to's for the cuisine.The inside is pretty small, and a couple times we've gone it's been very busy. Even so, we didn't have to wait terribly long. And even if we had to, it's easy to get one of their great cocktails and chill while you're waiting.The staff is always really nice. A couple times, we sat on their patio -- if it's the time of year where it's open, I definitely recommend that. The burritos I've had were all excellent. The last time, I got the mole sauce and it's the highlight dish I've gotten so far. Chips and salsa are solid. It's just a great place to get tasty Mexican fare plus excellent drinks.

I have been a longtime fan of the Riverwreest and Bayview locations, and after recently moving to the North Shore, was excited that there was one nearby.The ambience is a little bit bizarre. It feels like it maybe used to be a fast food restaurant that was quickly changed into a new café Corazon location. If that part of the experience is super important to you, it may be worth the drive to one of the other locations.However, the food and service were absolutely delicious. I had a cruncher with birria for the protein, and I can tell I will be back for more soon. The bartender mentioned that sometimes she gets a side of the queso and pours it onto the cruncher, which is something I believe I will have to try!

Date of visit: August 9, 2024Some friends and neighbors of ours have been raving about this place for weeks so I was very excited to try this joint out! That we had to park about three blocks away really added to the excitement--this place MUST be good if it's this busy and we have to walk a ways to find a spot to park. Turns out they were doing live music and a fair number of folks on the patio were there to support their friends/band or just to hear the music.We were seated on the patio, though thumbs up to the hostess for asking if that was okay first and advising that if it was too loud, they would definitely move us. Thankfully the music wasn't too loud or too bad, and she even came over later to check and see if all was well with the music/volume, which I really appreciated. The table service was also quite good, and is a big reason for the four star review here as I wasn't wowed by the food.The chips and salsa were not my jam; the chips did not have any flavor or seasoning to make them special and weren't served warm; I would have preferred chips I make at home, actually. The salsa was too spicy for me as well so both were a no go. My Mexican food go to is the quesadilla. We don't do ground beef at home due to my husband's blood pressure so I was excited to try that here but not unlike the chips, there was a lack of flavor as well as sour cream. Should I ever go back, I would try something else.

Was looking for somewhere to go for Cinco de Mayo and thought I'd give this location a try. Since the smaller interior was at capacity, we sat outside on the patio and chose seats at the bar. Lucky for us, the weather was perfect for it. I ordered the Jalepeno Margarita to start, which was delicious with just a hint of spice. Our server was kind enough to give each of us our own basket of chips and salsa, which was dangerous considering everyone knows how quickly those go down when you're hungry and waiting for your food. The chips were crunchy, although I did wish there was a little more seasoning on them. The salsa was chunky, loaded with tomatoes and some peppers thrown in. For my main dish, I ordered the Corazon Burrito with steak, which was large in size with balanced layers of rice and beans and large pieces of fresh avocado. For dessert, we tried the Chocolate Tres Leches cake. Unlike the traditional version, this was much denser, but once you cut inside the classic makeup was evident. This is a great spot to sit outside, enjoy the weather, mingle with friends and have some classic Mexican food. Not just on Cinco de Mayo!

Amazing place. The food, the staff the atmosphere are awesome. Only problem is what to order. One dish is better than the next. Share your food with your vo diners. You must get the guacamole and chips! Yes, I can be very busy on Friday and Saturday nights but who cares grab a margarita from the bar and just enjoy the atmosphere and other people company. Met a few friends last night for happy hour. Noah, Patrick, and Mario were all working behind the bar and were all super friendly and nice. We shared some nachos that were amazing and the new Watermelon/Jalapeno margaritas were SO delicious!! Such great happy hour prices too. $6 house margaritas and employees that seem like old friends...sign me up!! We will definitely be back.

The service was okay. The food is bland. The chips and salsa were not yummy. Mexican food shouldn't be like this. We stopped by on a Friday evening in the summer. We chose an outside table. The atmosphere was nice. They were super busy and the service was slow. I observed that a couple of people had to find the server so they could pay their bill. We sat at our table a good 15 minutes or so before our order was taken. It took another 25 minutes or so for the food to arrive, only for it to be an incorrect order for another customer. They took the food back. Yep. That happened. I had carnita tacos Mexican style. The pork was bland and dry. That's a bad combination next to a corn tortilla. The food presentation was nice. Pretty as a picture.
