We order the LARGER of the size sandwiches and they were huge...I was bummed I didn't take a picture until I thought about doing that on my almost last bite and I finished last. "Called ahead on Mon, July 5th (July 4th observed) and confirmed that they were going to be open until 8 p.m. Stopped in for a late lunch after a visit to Illinois Beach State Park. Got the fish tacos ($9.99 - came with our choice of fries, and our server invited us to tag on a soup as part of it) and the pulled pork sliders (choice of onion straws, $8.99). Food tasted great and was large in portions (for our late meal on a hot day, we could have done with just meal and three cold drinks). Though they were short staff on a holiday and plenty of customers were coming in for a late lunch/early dinner, the one staff person we saw ably served customers and took care of phone orders."

"I've been to Twisted Burger Grayslake before but it was my first time coming to the VH location. I have to say it is much cleaner and spacious. Service was quick and easy. I got the large fries and shroom burger. That burger truly hit the spot! It was cooked to perfection. I forgot how big the order of fries are so next time I would get the smaller size for two people. You can't beat the prices or quality here. Happy to see their business expanding!"

"We ordered takeout from here and I was impressed. I would recommend takeout. When I travel, gyros are like a comfort food for me since you can find them a lot of places. I haven't been able to find many good gyros in the US, but I liked the gyros here! We had chicken schawarma, gyros, falafel and a salad. The best was probably the gyros and falafel. The sauce put on the wraps make them juicy (not dry). We had a good experience and I haven't had other good gyros around town so I'm giving this a high rating."

We live in the area so we wanted to stop by and try it out. This used to be a burger place that we would hit here and there, but sadly Covid changed that. The inside hasn't been changed all that much. Maybe a little less memorabilia for local teams and colleges, but overall still a decent interior. It's still roomy and has a nice feel to it, but it won't knock your socks off. The staff is super friendly and really is the biggest reason for the 4th star on this review. The whole staff was attentive and came by often to ensure we didn't go too long without a warm up on our coffee or at least just a table touch. Everyone was super friendly and answered any questions we had happily.Having been to many diners with the same feel and menus I was kind of prepared for it to be just a run of the mill diner and I am reviewing it as such. If you come in with crazy expectations you will probably be disappointed. They are a diner, but they are a good one. Let's say they are rustic but delicious. The coffee was amazing really. As silly as that sounds I had three cups of it and it tasted great without anything added to it. We ordered a chorizo omelette with berries on the side and a meat lovers omelette with nothing on the side. We still got the hash browns on the side with my meat lovers but that isn't that big of a deal just an unfortunate waste of potatoes since I am low carb right now. The Omelettes are four eggs and whatever your chosen additions are. They were good, but they came out a little bland. As this may seem like a bad thing, it's actually brilliant. I prefer to control my salt and pepper in a dish when I can so I can have it to my liking. I always take a small taste of my food and then add as needed, so this delivery was great for me. All together this was a solid experience and all for less than $30 for us. I'll be going back, especially when I cycle carbs back into my diet so I can try more of their items.

I was driving through town and thought I would stop. I had two small 15 lb dogs on leash . I ordered and then got my dogs out of the car and was going to sit outside in the corner on the patio. A worker came out and said " no dogs allowed on the patio". He then told me I could "wait for my food on the sidewalk". Not very friendly , food was good. Just sad that in a small town like this you can't sit on a patio with two small dogs. There was only one other person on the patio and she was petting the dogs. Not dog friendly - the delivery of the message came off rude and unwelcoming. They obviously don't need my business or others stopping through this town.

Zogo's is one of my favorite GoTo spots for breakfast, lunch or supper. There is a wide variety of dishes to select from such as Beef sandwiches, burgers,homemade potato chips, or shrimp dinner.The friendly staff make the visit fun. You can eat-in or takeout.

Nice sandwich is our neighborhood go to place for lunch and I love living walking distance from it! I love their Muffuletta sandwich which I was told is the Glorioso's version of the famous sandwich from New Orleans. It was very filling sandwich where the turkey offset the powerful and distinctive flavors of the muffuletta bread. Love their local offering of chips. The service was uncomplicated and easy to navigate and the ambiance is cozy. It really is a hidden gem since it is unassumingly in a strip mall. 100% recommend for their strong flavorful sandwich game.

What a gem in VH! Loved the burgers and fries at Twisted Burger. A variety of different burgers to choose from that rivals places like Red Robin. We got the Cali burger which had avocado and bacon and I'm forgetting the name now but one with a fried egg and bacon. The buns on the burger were so good (I think they're brioche buns from Turano) - soft with a good bite. And the loaded fries we got were also delicious with green onions, bacon bits, cheese, and some sour cream. I learned that the fries are made in-house not bought frozen and pre-cut. Next time, I would just get regular fries bc they're so good as is! Would love to go back to try the smoothies. Everything seems to be made with care and quality at Twisted Burger and can't wait to go back.

Not only does she serve dessert but her food menu is to die for. Every day there is something new on the menu. "I will be honest, I have stumbled across this place for years and I never bookmarked it and had absolutely 0 interest in stopping over because it looks like a fast food restaurant. I originally wanted to try another place in the area but absolutely no parking any where around it so I found the first legal parking spot to park in and see what else in my bookmarks were close, I looked around me from my car and saw wings or hotdogs so wings won.The place is small with a few tables so take out was non stop and that's what I did. I got the 10 wings with two flavors, one Jamaican jerk and red alert. The bag was hefty I thought as I walked to my car. To my surprise the wings looked good and smelled amazing, big/meaty with plenty of sauce to rub the wings in. The red alert was first and it had a nice creamy/rich good buffalo flavor with a nice heat finish but not super hot and just right. The wings were meaty and cooled perfectly moist, not to dry like some places with plenty of sauce. The Jamaican jerk was very interesting because it was not like jerk chicken but sweet/savory with a subtle Smokey bbq finish which I really liked.Now I'm not going to say that this place dethroned my favorite wing place but the wings were pretty fuc#ing good. Good flavors, cooked perfect and big/meaty is good when it comes to wings. This is definitely a solid wing place because I have had lesser quality wings around town."

"Tried this place for the first time today. I had been meaning to since driving by recently. I've been looking for a new place to have breakfast. I ordered Eggs Benedict, as I almost always do. On the menu it was the 'ham' version. A lot of restaurants use ham instead of Canadian bacon, which is acceptable. The eggs were overcooked a little. One of the treats of eating this dish is when the runny egg yolks combine with the hollandaise, which didn't happen today. The hollandaise was pretty good, with good consistency. I would suggest including a sharp knife when serving this dish, like a steak knife. Without it, it's easy to make a mess of things cutting through the ham. The hash browns were very good. The orange juice was good, although it tasted like fresh squeezed mixed with concentrate, just my opinion. The coffee was good. The server, David, was quite good, and friendly."
